The reader smiles. "It is not yet time for us to study a new card. Tell me now what you think the first two cards mean."

The querant clears her throat nervously and pulls out a Tarot of Dummies book. She flip a few pages and then reads out loud.

"The Nine of Swords is called Cruelty. Here the original disruption inherent in Swords is raised to its highest power. The card is ruled by Mars in Gemini; it is agony of mind. The Ruach consumes itself in this card; thought has gone through every possible stage, and the conclusion is despair. There is the acrimonious taint of analysis; activity is inherent in the mind, yet there is always the instinctive consciousness that nothing can lead anywhere."

"Day one town messed up and lynched one of our own and one with 2 roles."

"The Four of Cups is called Luxury. The masculine nature of fire permits the Four of Wands to appear as a very positive and clear-cut conception. The weakness in the element of water threatens its purity; it is not quite strong enough to control itself properly; so the Lord of Pleasure is a little unstable.Four is a dead stop, a blind alley. An idea of a totally different Order is necessary to carry on the series. The card refers to the Moon in Cancer, which is her own house; but Cancer itself is so placed that this implies a certain weakness, an abandonment to desire. This tends to introduce tlie seeds of decay into the fruit of pleasure. The sea is still shown, but its surface is ruffled, and the four Cups which stand upon it are no longer so stable. The Lotus from which the water Springs has a multiple stem, as if to show that the influence of the Dyad has gathered strength. For although the number Four is the manifestation and consolidation of the dyad, it is also secretly preparing catastrophe by emphasizing individuality."

"This refers to the luxury that Scum have had so far ,They must beware."

She closes the book, and then looks back at the cards. "But, just looking at these two cards, I would interpret the first as blowing suspicions out of proportion. The second card would be related to the past and would indicate that there is a history of stagnation instead of working towards change."

The Reader smiles. "Very nice."

"When will you show me another card?"

"Soon. The time is not yet."

Irretating is immune to lynch today.

Tarot Mafia - Day 4

The reader places the Eight of Wands to the left of the two crossed cards.

Image

"This position represents what you have done with your spirit and energy with regard to your concerns. the Eight of Wands signifies approaching goals and and team spirit harnessed to make those goals real. You were not alone and allies helped you make tangible progress. We will see if you have such allies in this endeavor in the future."

The reader hesitates, as though weighing her words carefully. "I sense that this card was the tip of the iceberg last night. Perhaps we will learn more about the alchemy of the cards today."

Zigmen was the Eight of Wands (Fire) and was vanilla town with sprinkles.

Day 4 is under the influence of The Sun. The vote will take place with no increases or decreases.

Night 4 is under the influence of Death (Crossing). One player may change sides tonight.

My immunity from lynching was the same as sifaka/Denny's. As I know I'm innocent, I can vouch for Denny.

I have a sprinkle up my sleeve, still. Hopefully I can use it tonight.

vote ani on the grounds that he is not playing his usual game at all, and not helping town in any way.

Zigmen was town .. well, it's good to put that question behind us once and for all at least.

As this kind of game is new to me, I'm going to take a look at all the possible mafia roles to see if there's some mafia reason why sifaka and irre avoided their deaths .. or if it's more likely a flavour (tarot cards) related thing.

Well my scum game and town game must be the same then, because I'm town with sprinkles. I blocked Ani last night.

Ani, I hope you have more to contribute today, because voting for you is too easy.

I've had my role blocked for the second time last night, which is funny because I have no role to block. It would probably help if this person started blocking the role of scum instead as it might protect a player.
