Thanks for all the Mayor votes. If this was RatSkep I would make a speech with a bunch of lolcats, etc. but I will spare you.

I don't understand this post. What did MattShizzle say in the signup thread that makes it interesting? His first two posts seem like ordinary chit-chat and his third one was:Uselesstwit wrote:That is interesting linus, especially after what shizzle said in the sign up thread.
I don't get it, considering it was before the roles were assigned.I don't like being vanilla town because I usually get lynched. I have no way of avoiding a lynch other than outing as a special.
It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.

Sometimes people just don't always feel like posting in an internet mafia game. I mostly just take that into account.amok wrote:Good morning. I always find it helpful to know where in the world the other players are, to get a sense of when it's reasonable for people to be absent because of working, sleeping, etc. I'm in the Atlantic time zone, one hour ahead of the Mod.
Don't go near that elevator - that's just what they want us to do... trap us in a steel box and take us down to the basement.
Re: Discworld Day 1
It was just a way to get more participation (myself included). I've always sucked at scumhunting on day 1. If you see my previous games, I hardly have any posts on day 1 and 2. I just decided to be a bit more proactive this time.Gonzo wrote:this looks like an excuse not to scumhunt which is anti-town. ##vote rc##r.c wrote:Howdy !
On the first day, I think I'm just going to vote a no show unless someone posts something really scummy.

I'm having a bit of trouble understanding the combination of "I like r.c.'s threat..." and "However, ...". Do you mean that you think that though the threat is unnecessary, it has a townish feel? Or something else?Magicziggy wrote:Business. I like r.c.'s threat to vote for non-posters. However, I think most people will post if they are able to. Maybe we got lucky with Ksen last game, but I wasn't around to see that.

Athene's driveby was unhelpful. Can't get much of a read on her from two words. ##unvote rc####vote athene##

I am running with the assumption that playing styles don't translate. I am surprised, for example that Mantis came out with a vote so quickly. She's a very tentative player in RatSkep.

Fair enough. I was thinking more along the lines of when people say so-and-so isn't answering questions, it's helpful to know that it's the middle of the night where they are.Gonzo wrote:Sometimes people just don't always feel like posting in an internet mafia game. Re: Discworld Day 1
I have a problem with low/no posters as they muddy the waters and waste time, especially in no PM games.

I'd rather have people not post unless it's meaningful rather than have to go through 4 pages of useless crap when I wake up.
