I've never seen a game where nobody lynch voted. If there are any lynch votes cast at all in this kind of game, then there will be a lynch. Games with a required number of lynch votes are usually untimed games where the game day lasts until someone has a majority of the available votes. (shudder - the games go on for weeks...and weeks...sometimes).

There are some occasions when voting "no lynch" makes sense right before endgame, but the players have to specify they want no lynch and they have to outnumber any lynch votes for a specific player.

I'm not flip-flopping.I rescinded my vote to give the newbie a chance. My opinion hasn't changed.

Are you hoping to draw attention on to me?
Seems a little scummy to me. Did you decide this amongst your partners?

It's no wonder the games here are going down the pan if this is how you treat new players.

Fuck this shit. Really, fuck it.

Oblivion ,how do you think you can read the Ratz game ? do you think as so many of us are newbies at this that we are easy to read ,or does the strange Ratz game make it a little more difficult ?

My style of play is mostly player-specific tells, so I get better with more data about how players have reacted to various situations in the past. When I don't know other players well, I depend more on classic tells, which I am not as good with. I'm really not sure how I'll do in this environment. I just know that if I don't do pretty well, I'll be lynched and that's a bit of an incentive.

You won't get to see how I play if I'm dead. I'd be happy to die if I revealed information about scum, though.

FoS feck. You've been around long enough to know the lie of the land.

Ani: no I'm not trying to draw attention to you. You are playing (in an inimitable Ani style) a pro-town game. It's just the flip-flopping can draw attention to yourself.

What about feck's post do you specifically think is scummy? The statistical stuff or the question to me?

The statistical stuff.. it's like a nervous 'ha ha' let's not consider someone might be scum yet again (and feck was scum last game). The question he asked you seemed reasonable as AFAIK you've only played one game here and was scum.

Hi all,

vote Oblivion

But Budski wasn't the only one with fluff at the beginning... what about FP, and Feck?

I've been watching the mighty spurs win and playing silly buggers over masks at Ratskep.
I have no routine. It's breakfast time and I'm off to work shortly.

I read oblivion as vanilla or a very ballsy Don.
I'm happy with my mayor vote on her.
The way she's set about scum hunting does give me some confidence that she's vanilla.

I can't say I can read opening posts in the same way as Oblivion.
That's her experience talking.
Ani's gut, now there's a thing of beauty.

Budskiboo - am inclined to be completely indecisive at this point.

A few late starters we'd like to hear from.
I'll get a chance to contribute again in about 3 1/2 hours.

Actually nevermind about FP, there was nothing fluffy about that.

And Ani and Eduard.
Their initial fluff was short and flavor related. I lumped them in with the smilie posts people make to subscribe to threads.

However, Feck's post about drummers, etc. pinged a little, though it's hard not to ignore the GM's flavor posts. Also the statistical post.

FP's FoSy posts bothered me a little because of the passive voice (but that's a well known failing of mine - bristling at indirect FoSes).

Ani is bothering me a much or more than anyone. I pressed him for a reason for his vote and he said it was gut. Pressed him again, and he paraphrased my own vote reason. Since then, he's kind of going through the show of being aggressive and hard hitting without actually hitting.

I've actually played 3 games here and ('ha ha ha') was scum all 3 times. I wasn't on people's radars until I GMed a couple games, and I think the Spooks game was the first that anyone really noticed I was playing.
