Not really, if you're scum and you don't have a vote down and it's getting towards the end of the day, you're wanting to make the most inconspicuous vote that you can. Mantis was a good choice in that respect as her scum hunting was a little mad.

The drive by is that I work in an open studio and playing mafia all day doesn't make me popular with the boss.

Trying to rank players based mostly on town tells, I usually don't have this much trouble coming up with a consistent list.

irre - win condition etc., initially inattentive, then said she made spreadsheet and dramatically improved, seemed to intend to log off without an active vote at the end of day 1, mostly townish
feck - would be in lower half if it weren't for win conditions etc.
amok - mostly looked genuine day 1, responded to irre's win condition comment, some less townish comments
athene - what she posts is reasonable, "clicked"/"partially clicked" day 1, I'm starting to seriously worry about what she doesn't post... very hard to place in the list, should probably move down
mz - more towny than scummy
rc - asked about randomization, a bit too focused on mantis BW
dp - gives "cold reading" suspicions of irre more weight than is reasonable, made spreadsheet of vote times
bnew - initially forgot mz & rc when listing familiar players, need more
gonzo - early votes could be reasonable attempts to get things started, first thought dp's reasoning about irre looked genuine but also had irre as clear, now has irre as suspicious & votes irre based on vote patterns; white-knighted DP but when pressed said he had him as "unsure"
shizzle - meh, has ignored questions about vote rationale
ksen - claims block, if town willing to risk block flavor info dying with him

I'll go with...

I don't know how it works on RatSkep, but here it is typical that blocked players get a block PM (and in fairly recent game, Zigmen was very upset that he didn't get a block PM when he was blocked, so I'd think he would send them in this game). If you've already outed that you're blocked, it's usually best to also out flavor info from the block PM.

Most games are PM allowed which means you are able to post info without outing yourself.

To me there are subtler ways of doing it without painting a huge target on yourself. And if you are going to claim special why then wouldn't you give all your info as that would be the mot helpful thing to do in that situation.

Could it be that Ksen is scum and trying to pull a block to make it useless?

If there are four scum it would take at least a full day night cycle to catch on and in turn buying them much needed time. As he is laid up with pneumonia anyway he might be simply sacrificing himself.

I'm sure what "pull a block" means here. Saying that you've been blocked is generally consistent with having any role, so ksen has not really outed himself. Vanilla townies, town specials, indies, scum can all get a PM from the GM with some flavor info, if they've been targeted by either a town blocker or a scum blocker.

So either scum was blocked, didn't put in a kill (unlikely) or tried to kill one of ut/ob and their kills went first.

It means that if I out as a special (which my or may nit be the case now that you have explained it) I am essentially requesting protection. As scum it would be a good tactic to draw protection from town.
