Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
Yeah and Mantis turned out to be just very confused which is why I have reservations about Ani. By the way, I edited my previous post to fix some grammar. The content is essentially the same.

Of course you could but I'm not the one acting suspiciously.Animavore wrote:I could say the same about you.heyzeus wrote:Isn't noncredo also a suspect? I see her(/him?) lurking! Can someone smarter than me please tell me what implications that has, given fact there was no Scum killing last night?

oops pressed submit too early...irreligionist wrote:Gah.. I'm getting the whole 'is he.. isn't he...' doubts that I got in the last game about Mantis
my comment was in relation to this assessment:

Let's examine his case
1. He tried to set the dogs on irreligionist
2. has made a load of confusing posts on the game mechanics, then
3. comes out with a hidden role that if it is true he has also exposed the identity of another player to the bad guys
4. has no special powers.
5. called me a twat
Let's say he's actually telling the truth: if there is this husband/wife thing going on it could very well be that they have their own victory condition that isn't compatible with us townspeople.
Worst case is we lose someone who does nothing for us. Best case, we get rid of a lying sack of shit.
And we can give the silent ones 24 hours to justify their continued existence.

Neither am I. You don't know me well enough to make that statement. I'm always joking and stirring shit. I like throwing spanners in the works. As a fellow Irish person, I won't vouch for Ani's character, but most Dublin people are that annoying.Animavore wrote:Neither am I. You don't know me well enough to make that statement. The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

I don't think we can surmise anything new from that list. We were operating under the assumption that that was the order of events anyway. At least I was. If we knew the order of the killings, that would be something.CookieJon wrote:Oblivion posted the order of night actions on the peanut thread...

I actually made that point myself earlier. I said I don't know you well and so you might be the type to stir shit for no reason. I asked for the people who know you for clarification but nothing was said. Without that clarification, you remain suspect and apparently CJ thinks so too (unless he's lying about his role).Animavore wrote:Neither am I. You don't know me well enough to make that statement. Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
I'm still torn on this issue. Can someone clarify whether or not this is standard behaviour for Ani? If he is town, he's done his team a disservice by making himself appear so guilty. It's a bit silly that he was aggressively shit-stirring and then he gets upset when we begin to suspect him. I'm still not sure whether to vote for Ani or pity. Is anyone still around?

I'm here. But, I've just been reading up the actual characters for the first time.
See, he could just be making up what he's saying about being the doc's wife.... it could be that he might know that this is a minor character and not one that oblivion would have likely made a role for. But.... I don't know about that.
What about you, heyzeus?
I noticed that you were quick to say that Evil Spock was good to go. Maybe you are defending her?

Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
Evil Spock may very well be Harkkoden but we're targeting silent players who we suspect are silent because they're guilty. It doesn't make sense to go after someone with a legitimate alibi as her silence is meaningless.
Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
Although, it would be a stupid move if it turns out Evil Spock is known to be guilty by Heyzeus - he'd be implicated.Mantisdreamz wrote:I'm here. But, I've just been reading up the actual characters for the first time.

Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
Well, could it be that after a certain play of events that Animavore the Wife, may be able to contact the doctor? Or at least find out who he is. And it this did happen, he could let us know who it is. As I understand, the Doctor is supposed to turn on the Atreides. But, I don't know if that's even possible. I'm not sure if it's played in the way that an event can trigger more options for a person.

But we could never find out if heyzeus would know this. If Evil Spock ends up being guilty, it doesn't follow that heyzeus is as well.CookieJon wrote:Although, it would be a stupid move if it turns out Evil Spock is known to be guilty by Heyzeus - he'd be implicated.Mantisdreamz wrote:I'm here.
