Ok this one.oblivion wrote:MZ, why are you thinking DennyB?
His play has been sporadic. He has strongly supported me in the face of quite stern FOSes on me. I am always highly sus of that because it's a tactic I use as scum. Support a player who is under fire because you know they are town. This is my reasoning. He seems fixed on staying in support of me though even though there is a bandwagon on him.
I'll be around for a short while for clarification.

you didn't mention him at all yesterday all the way up until daybreak of day 2. Not a FoS. Nothing.Magicziggy wrote:Ok this one.oblivion wrote:MZ, why are you thinking DennyB?

Nope. When I re-read the thread I found I missed Denny's contributions. At the end of the day you will see that I was waiting for his contribution but in fact he had already posted. I missed it because I missed a whole page. Careless but true.

Re: Sixth Sense Mafia - Day 2
Oblivion, you often trawl through other games to look for patterns of behaviour. Yet you dismiss it when other do it. Your headache was real. I put forward the premise that you could use that as a cover for a low contribution to day 1. I did not say you were scum, but that you were auite capable of being scum and having a headache and miliking it. You've used that to condemn me along with other spurious stuff. Lynch me, do what you like, but don't get so up yourself that only you have the right to remember stuff from the past.
Re: Sixth Sense Mafia - Day 2
MZ if I had milked my headache yesterday you might have something there. I was irritable and snarky. I was my regular self with a headache. go back to the spooks game and find the irritability and snark in my last day's play. In fact, go back to that game and fine anything at all that is consistent with how I've played since that game. I had a blank canvas in that game. I knew most of the ratz players from GMing here. You guys knew nothing at all about how I play so I was able to do stuff I'd never do in a game where people knew me.
I don't know why I'm even answering this tbh. it has NOTHING to do with my question to you -- which was why vote DennyB. I don't recall you saying anything about waiting on his reply before daybreak. I'll go back and have another look.

Not day break. Night fall. I was asleep during the night.

ok, I found this post from right after nightfall.Magicziggy wrote:Nope. When I re-read the thread I found I missed Denny's contributions. So what about his posts led you to put your vote on him?Magicziggy wrote:Right, ta very much for letting me decide that.
What does it mean that he was already dead?
Did he get secretly godkilled or is it just the flavour?
Squid, Denny, Nelli all need to pipe up. Should have gone with Squid, although that would have just tied it up in knots.
Ok, let all the hindsight brigade out now. I'm going to sulk elsewhere.

Oh ffs. I've answered your question. If you don;t like it, vote for me.
Now this is the second time I've had to cut and paste this.
I've answered your question. You've responded to my observation. Seems to me you are quite capable of getting away with stuff whether you know players or not.
You came unstuck the first time you landed a scum role in a while. It is only sensible that I explore the possibility of how you would approach a second one in a row. How to disguise "off" play. That's all I was doing. Should I thank you for even responding?
Here's what I was ranting about before I crossposted with Oblivion.
Last night was stupid. One person was left to decide the lynch. There are 14 people in this game and only one bothered to be there for what was a tight lynch. DP stuck a vote down with absolutely no reasoning. FOS. But I had no one else to help decide the lynch. I have to say I was troubled by this. out of Feck, gib and Callan, I'd already taken my vote off gib. Callan seemed upset that people were voting her for no reason, but that's not scummy to me. And Feck. Well here's the thing. He got the rough end of the stick last game. That influenced my decision. I know I was being played by Gonzo in that game, but even so it did influence my decision to vote back on gib. I could have let it go to the RNG but that was a cop out in my view.[/rant]

Ok that makes sense, and I'm sorry that I slept through nightfall.
But still -- you're talking about ME not Denny. You were waiting for his contributions last night. then this morning you put a vote on him with no commentary at all. What about his posts strikes you as scummy?

Yeah, I can understand your frustration here.Magicziggy wrote:Last night was stupid. One person was left to decide the lynch. With the 24 hour days and twelve hour nights beginning and ending at the times they do I won't be around for the hours leading up to nightfall on some days as I work those hours.

same for you with my answer. fluff.
do you think a long winded answer would have indicated scumminess? Or the way a person says "yes". Ob is right in that it is really just fluff.

Re: Sixth Sense Mafia - Day 2
A big red flag for me is when players defend me. I've been told over and over again that I always appear scummy. There's no point in changing it. I play the way I play. But Denny, who I think I've been scum with twice, has this insight in to my play that is that this is my town game, going completely against the grain.oblivion wrote:Ok that makes sense, and I'm sorry that I slept through nightfall.

Sometimes I act on it. I did when I read his night chat.
And I recognise it because I do it myself when scum. I will defend players who I know are town. Although I won't be doing that again in a hurry.
And I am very undecided about you Oblivion. I don't have much experience with your scum game and I would have expected it to have improved somewhat.
What do you think about Denny?

This exchange was just ridiculous btw. The, "are you town?" stuff. I ignored it as meaningless.Mantisdreamz wrote:what do you mean?DennyB wrote:Not necessarylyoblivion wrote:and now I know exactly as much as I did before asking the question.DennyB wrote:Yesoblivion wrote:Denny, what about you? are you town?

Ob, why did you say this and then go along with who Charlou was voting for?oblivion wrote:I have a feeling that charlou is either scum or her head is in the same place mine is.
