Some of us also play Mafia over at Talk Rational. The True Blood game is being played there. If you ever wanna try a bigger game with tough-as-nails gameplay, let me know.

There are also some good noobie games in the annex as well.

But the regular games can get brutal.

Clearly you haven't been watching the current simple game. I'm probably the newbiest there by a long long way.

So this starts with the first day round tomorrow morning at 0900 MDT?

The game started early because there were no night moves to wait for.

It will be open roughly 22.5 more hours.

Just shoot out any Palinism? There is a place for moose in Alaska. Right next to the mashed potatoes on the plate.

The games aren't all that brutal. It's the postgame recriminations that draw blood and make lifelong enemies.

I'll agree that the postgame wrapups are pretty flamey, but the games are far more venomous than here at Ratz.

definitely take-no-prisoners. I dunno about venomous. But, TR is where I learned to play mafia and I tend to think it's "normal" there and "weird" everywhere else.

I understand this. I learned at TR as well. Ratskep Mafia still seems weird to me. But I think Ratz is my favorite right now. The people are way nicer.

And I don't miss the "STFU, you r3tard! You R just butthurt, so eat a dick." Which crops up every page or so at TR in one form or another . . .

It gets annoying and makes me feel like I'm babysitting 12 year olds.

And I still can't quite throttle down my impulse to lynch vote every person who posts something to the effect of "I'm sorry so-and-so, I really did think you were scum."

There's probably a happy medium between the two styles that doesn't give so much breathing space to scum teams.
