Ok, now that the night action deadline has passed, there is some stuff I want to post in case I'm dead after tonight.

The post below is wrong. Statistically, town players tend to change votes more frequently than scum do. Scum worry about what the changes will look like to others. Town worry about lynching scum. There are always anomalies, but the scum motivations of not attracting too much attention, and getting town lynched are always there in the person's posts.

It has been a while since I've played a game. gib has distinctly altered his approach probably because of a recent game he's been playing. In the past, voting wildly and randonly has been seen as unhelpful and even scummy. But it's also quite a loose way to play and not the sort thing scum would do. But it does stand out.

Ok, it was an innocent enough speculation. I didn;t know there were rules against asking about game design on Day 1. TR rules. This is Ratz. No rules.

To me it is indecision on top of a raging headache coupled with a statement of the bleeding obvious.

FWIW I never saw Irre's comment about scum knowing they were scummy until I re-read the OP just now.

and here another affirmation that confidence and vote-switching are town, but hey this time it's different:

Cockiness is usually what I associate with town.
Vote switching is as well.
But gib's initial flipping around was actually less helpful than he usually is as town, if anyone can remember that far back.

Ok, this always stuck in my mind. Spooks (May 2010), endgame. Me (my first game),Ani, Blip and scum Ob and scum UT (first game). Ob has stomach pains or something similar and admits that, although true, she did play on it. Oblivion, is that correct? You are capable of playing up these ailments to your advantage.

I've just checked the scum thread for that game and you commented:

Just pointing out. Genuine ailment, but quite prepared to milk it as scum. Until last game, that spooks game was oblivion's last as scum.

I'm not going to vote Oblivion on the above. It's a bit tenuous and she should have some opportunity to respond. But I'm kind of moving away from gib. His posts are just a bit weird, but not particularly scummy. Now Mantis has just dumped a vote on Feck with no reason. And Charlou had dumped on Mantis for listing a rehash of the day's events. And zigmen now is seeming less confident about his ability. Nelli is a no-show so far. Squid is a one post wonder. I think I'll wait to hear from Denny before I'll decide on my final vote.

DP always seems to be gunning for Feck.

I think MZ is scum. And if he is, DennyB probably is, too.

If I'm dead on day 2, then Zigmen goes from kinda scummy to hugely scummy in my view. He's told me in the past that when he's scum he wants me out of the game asap.

He's probably not alone in that sentiment, but he's put his money where his mouth is a few times.

anyway. If I'm alive on day 2, those are the folks I'd focus on initially, unless the night kill(s) indicate something else entirely might be afoot.

I think mz is scummy too. and callan. I don't get the zigmen thing though. I'm going to be gone or a while, probably won't get back to this until well into the next day.

oh and also I can see what you mean about denny if mz is scum he seems to be protecting him. I am usually p. reticent about night chat because I don't like to give out information for scum moves. I don't see it with zigmen either btw.
