Re: Discworld Day 1
Still pretty sure irre is town. I've seen her trolley track like this as town before and she's usually refuses to change course once she's decided on someone being scum.

He seems to be taking advantage of the fact that irre is leading a lynch against DP. Otherwise he has just complained and been unhelpful.

Don't go near that elevator - that's just what they want us to do... trap us in a steel box and take us down to the basement.
Re: Discworld Day 1
You brought up the town's win condition which usually leads to players outing themselves which highlights specials. I know you aware of that and I am convinced you were just trying to align/ triangulate lol. Still I think DP was being fair. Now you've revenge voted him when you were the one putting the town in trouble.irretating wrote:Objectively? I took my vote off of rc because he explained he was trying to encourage people to post more.I'm getting my spreadsheet up and running, and I'm up to where you dropped off the rc BW like a hot potato to vote athene for posting that she was checking in. That would be part of your scum game, not your town game. What, were you unaware that mantis had a vote on rc so had to drop it at the first opportunity and athene's post seemed the least work to pick on?
I ummed and ached about saying anything about the weird win condition, but the curiosity got to me. As for jeopardising town, you'll have to walk me through that one. How on earth is town jeopardised? More like, scum is jeopardised. Hmm?

Re: Discworld Day 1
I've concluded that until something changes, gonzo is pretty much always going to look objectively scummy to me. I do not have a grasp of how being town motivates him. no matter what alignment he has, his votes and foses don't really compute for me. I guessed correctly once recently when he was town, and that's well below what a random number generator would do.
Re: Discworld Day 1
Gonzo, the most probable scenario of those in which irre is scum isn't fishing for specials (through a mass out of win conditions?), IMO, but rather that scum was shown the form of a town PM.
Re: Discworld Day 1
gonzo got hammered in the stargate game on day 3 I think. you caught on to him in part because he went after mattshizzle as an easy lynch.irretating wrote:Objectively? do you think he'd try the same thing again so soon? maybe. I can't seem to analyze his play directly. but if I were scum and had been caught out in part by going for an easy shizzle lynch, I don't think I'd go there again the next time I was scum
the only caveat to that being I might bus him if we were both scum, but even then I'd be skittish given recent history.

Besides irre and dp, who do you have a read on?MattShizzle wrote:Yeah looking back dp is seeming really scummy

I've had a run of good reads on him (both as scum and as town). This game, he's giving me a scummy signal.oblivion wrote:I've concluded that until something changes, gonzo is pretty much always going to look objectively scummy to me. That can't be it, because it's obvious to me that people got different PMs. And since I know my alignment, and don't have a weird win condition, that also can't be a basic tell.Linus wrote:Gonzo, the most probable scenario of those in which irre is scum isn't fishing for specials (through a mass out of win conditions?), IMO, but rather that scum was shown the form of a town PM.
Irre's pretty much cleared for me, however, because she brought it up. It might have been a mistake in the long run as others suggest, but I don't really see how at this stage. The wording she paraphrased has me scratching my head (along with not being told the same thing). It must mean something.
It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.

irre - re the win condition. i did not have that same obscure condition, and i am most certainly town. so this talk about the win condition, and trying to prove who or who isn't scum with it, seems to be moot

Maybe. But feck clearly got the same PM as me.Mantisdreamz wrote:haha, ok you're on!irretating wrote:I'm waiting on mantis and her research on my mayor voting habits.

Re: Discworld Day 1
"Weird" is an overstatement, but at least my win condition is rather uninformative in that "win" isn't reduced to some more obvious condition, but defined in terms of a condition that is about equally abstract.amok wrote:That can't be it, because it's obvious to me that people got different PMs. And since I know my alignment, and don't have a weird win condition, that also can't be a basic tell.Linus wrote:Gonzo, the most probable scenario of those in which irre is scum isn't fishing for specials (through a mass out of win conditions?), IMO, but rather that scum was shown the form of a town PM.

hhmmmmm, we seem to have 3 people with different win conditions now and it's hard to believe that scum would keep harping on it like mantis just did.

I just can't see scum irre running the win condition gambit, no matter how much I disagree with her about how to interpret the results.

Discworld Day 1
Zigmen has messed around with the wording of the town won condition before. Mine is clear enough and familiar from a recent zigmen game. (And it is a town win condition oblivion.) DP vs irre looks reminiscent of last game. I wouldn't mind knocking off dp just to get some clarity on that. Irre is looking town with her win condition gambit.
Gonzo voting shizzle. I must have missed shizzles post. Shizzle isn't worth bothering with. He should be viewed early. Any attempt to shake a claim out of him is scummy.
Back to work. Vote later. At the moment I'm favoring gonzo.
