Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
I'll be going to sleep now (sleep-walking in the desert?). We have had an interesting development where Irre has risen to defend Ani suspecting he is innocent despite his accusations against her. This can mean at least four things.
1. Irre is right, we lynch the wrong person. (BUT we get the advantage of suspecting the voters)
2. Irre is wrong and unknowingly spares the life of Harkkonen scum.
3. Irre and Ani are Harkkonen and in league trying to create confusion and cleaning their names by "redeeming" each other.
4. Irre is Harkkonen scum and is trying to appear gentle and kind in order to fool us into believing she is with town.
Lynching someone who is innocent is of course not desirable, but it will gain us at least some information. (To clarify. I still find Ani's behaviour SO strange that my suspicions of him still are strong)
But one thing I would like to hear is why Irre has a suspicion of Ani being innocent. Could you elaborate?
And as I go to bed now, I will be back half an hour before the day ends to look at the discussions that have happened in my absense. Then I may recast my vote accordingly.

Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
erm, that's not exactly the greatest explanation. It is a bit suspicious that everyone online has voted for Animavore but I wouldn't bet against the HarkkonenAnimavore wrote:I just like stirring shit![]()
I am retracting my Irre vote. I suspect she may be innocent after all. Although the actions of a couple leave me with suspicions. Not saying any names yet. I have flushed the rats out of the bushes.
Irre: 0 votes.
voting against one of their own for vindication if they're accused later. My vote still stands for now but I'm willing to be persuaded.

Irre: 0 votes.

I urge everyone to retract their votes on animavore and let's think about who our real enemies are.
I figured Ani was just shit stirring. If he were scum he wouldn't so publicly put himself in a position to be lynched. That is my thinking. As for me, I am with town. If I were scum I'd be more than happy to see Ani lynched.Normal wrote:But one thing I would like to hear is why Irre has a suspicion of Ani being innocent. Could you elaborate?

So, for the record then Ani 0 Votes.

Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
Well, last game I remember him crying out to be protected in the main thread. And when I asked him why he thought he was going to be whacked, he said "no reason." I was so fatigued that night that I actually protected him for about 2 minutes before realizing how guilty that made him seem. He did turn out to be mafia. His behaviour here is similar. He's doing strange things with seemingly little reason. I don't know him as well as the rest of you do but it seems like it would be against our team's interest to stir shit. If he's not Harkkonen, he probably has an independent win factor (although we've already seen two such players die - how many could there be in this game?). However, we're not going to lynch him, we need to find a suitable target. This might be hard as I think if Animavore isn't Harkkonen, the real Harkkonen are most likely staying quiet. That makes everyone who has been silent very suspicious.
Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
Evidence for that. The only person I remember calling for protection was Irre and she done it with reason.heyzeus wrote:Well, last game I remember him crying out to be protected in the main thread. Ok, so I couldn't stay away. But I'm going to bed after this!
Unvote; vote Animavore
This could possibly be a very dodgy move by me in case my scenarios 2 and 3 are right. But I'm going to retract my vote for Ani.irreligionist wrote:I figured Ani was just shit stirring. Yes, Heyzeus, I find the silent people more suspicious than Ani. Any town people who are silent do town a great disservice. The scum can afford to be silent, as they are communicating by PM.heyzeus wrote:owever, we're not going to lynch him, we need to find a suitable target. I don't know if that mafia game thread is still around but you said something in the vein of "oh no, I'm going to get whacked tonight for sure!" And when I asked you why you thought you were going to get whacked, you said "no reason."Animavore wrote:Evidence for that. The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.
