Re: Discworld Day 1
We should look closer at ob as well. i was thinking that ob might be doing light busses on a teammate or two before irre posted that never on the same team post. Kind of reinforced what i was thinking. in a paranoid sort of way i'll admit.

Maybe the GM wanted to get past the 'all threats to town means indies MUSt be anti-town thing that has happened in the last few games ?

Maybe. But zigmen did the game where everyone blew up at a certain time. So, this could be a weird game mechanic.Feck wrote:irretating wrote:The game is going to happen to end, and town may happen to win. To me, this is weird. And yeah, those that didn't jump in (DP is the most obvious, so it's hilarious he's making out I have the burden of proof to establish my innocence) are looking pretty scummy.
Re: Discworld Day 1
yeah and my vote is not on you, yet anyway. I'm still pretty concerned about MZ.irretating wrote:I know you'd like to watch a slapfest, but my vote is on her. So... your point is rather moot, no?Uselesstwit wrote:the thing that concerns me most about irre is the way she went after ob and then just let it drop. usually when those two go after each other it goes for a while but this time it kind of fizzled like she wasn't really that into it in the first place.
I know you sometimes fall on your face right out of the gate when you're town. I'd like to see reason to believe that's what's happening this time.
ah...preview is a wonderful thing.
don't think I'll be voting irre today.

I didn't waffle. I'm still not sure if I should have, but I decided it was a such stupid thing to say in the pre-game thread - opening myself up to direct questions like that - that I'd have to lie in the bed I'd made, if you'll pardon the pun.Don't Panic wrote:Hi kids, sorry I'm late, but I'm here now to prod some serious buttock, or something like that.
First off, the GM told me that all the scum have won an all-expense paid weekend in the hovel of their choice, just post here to claim your prize.
Amok, why did you waffle when asked if you were scum?
Who else hasn't posted yet?
Anyone got a mayor/lynch count?
Why didn't feck vote for me?
It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.

Yeah. I actually worried zigmen was doing some uber creative thing where he freestyles everyone's PM and I'd be lynched for being an idiot, but seems like there really is a weird win condition/game end going on. I'm surprised I'm the first one to bring it up.Feck wrote:That was easy

i found his post interesting as well.amok wrote:UT asking me that question makes me a bit suspicious, but I can't decide if I'm just being paranoid. Scum would know I'm not Scum, but asking seems like a Townish thing to do. If it's a bluff to appear Townish, it's kind of obvious. UT's a better player than that, isn't he? (That's a general question for anyone.)
i wasn't sure if he was asking if you were scum, because he thought you were. if that was the case, in that same post - he said that he had no pings from anyone yet.
So... UT - did you get a scummy feel from amok, which caused you to ask that?
Re: Discworld Day 1
I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but I think it was in the first game I played here that it was Linus who suggested that the mayor choice should also be the one whom the seer should view. It is interesting now that he votes Barnett for mayor but asks for Shizzle to be viewed. Any reason for the change of opinion Linus?
P.S- Need to head out. Will be back in a couple of hours.

There's nothing in my PM about a weird win condition. I just went back to read it again. I don't really know what else to say.irretating wrote:Yeah. "weird win condition" fishing expedition? Not giving out any freebies today irre, but your follow up was close enough. ##unvote ##irretating wrote:Yeah. The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.
