Aza, isn't it better if we wait to lynch DP? We can always hope he worries scum enough for them to NK him.
It's limited only by the imagination of the GM. Sometimes an indie has to find and kill a particular player. They get a view specific to that player (Is Mr. X/Is not Mr. X). Sometimes they've got nothing but a requirement to survive to the end of the game, no powers at all. Sometimes they get a combo win condition - kill Mr X, or be the last player standing.

My first indie win condition was survivor and my night action was to silence a player the next day. The role was the GM's idea of a joke. It turned out that my silencing ability was the deciding factor in the game.

The most common indie roles are some form of serial killer and Jester.

Why? From today's play? If so, what?
It was because Aza put a vote on DP. (Which could have been a nice cosy spot to put a vote). It looks slightly scummy. However, it could have been townie.

If Ob was scum - she could have only focused on the fact that Aza's vote *appeared* scummy, and placed a vote on him because of the way his vote looked. It could have been a safe vote for her - because she can back it up.

Vote DP
unvote; vote Aza
He came out of the gate making a lot of noise and only claimed miller when the FOSs started coming in. Do you trust him enough to give him a ticket to endgame on his word? I don't
your vote post was exactly what I would post if I were scum.
If I were scum and knew he was telling the truth I would stay right away from him and laugh at the wifom
Like you did in that game at TR where you were scum and I was the SK?

silly place to start a BW
do you have any ideas other than lynch the miller?
Mantis has been hanging round the sidelines posting a bit but not really getting stuck in or committing to anything. Just the kind of thing I described as how I would play the possible miller thing as a scum.

Seeing as the consensus seems to be to leave DP for later I will put my vote where my mouth is on that

Unvote vote mantis
I agree that's what she is doing, but how is that different from her usual game?

We can try behavior modification and all, I guess. If a particular tactic consistently gets you lynched, you develop new tactics. But, the brake on that kind of town pressure is that scum get to coast on day 1 when the player is town.

Feck, what are you up to? I call shenanigans, I bet you're jestering.

vote feck
why did you mayor vote Feck, Irre?
Because he voted himself and was acting very weirdly. I'm not going to lynch vote someone acting like a jester, but I'll indicate a seer view wouldn't hurt. I always want seer views of oblivion, mantis, DP and azathoth. For some reason my mayor vote never starts or forms into a bandwagon.

Mantis, you're being particularly WIFOMy today.

Is it more town-mantis to knock down other players' theories, or to build her own? I think it's the former. this is why her scum game is so difficult to spot. But something does seem a little off today.

I think mantis' style is to kind of agree to others' theories, while adding uncertainty and WIFOM in. I tend to not go after her, unless it's like last game where I got a sense that she was sitting back, waiting to see which way the wind was blowing, before making commentary or putting down a vote.

Yes, after I submitted my post I realised that she is doing exactly as I described. But her day 1 play is often like that (late vote, no concrete observations).

Hm. I'm pretty sure I was making observations there though.

So far I've got that DP looks legit to me.

Aza might not have seen that - and voted for him. Ob might have wanted to get an early vote out - and found a good spot.

(I'm onto her today for some reason).

And Callan, seemed to throw in a few joking posts here and there.

Gib and mono -- not enough yet.
