^^ none of our votes make anyone look extra townish is what I am saying.

It was 5 linus and 5 Az before I switched my vote. I don't know how things work when there is a tie, but I assume the person who got the max votes first would be lynched.irretating wrote:^ actually, contra's was the decisive vote.

My gut points to rc and Linus. In that order.irretating wrote:Contra, who is scum in your opinion? I know you think town is going to pull this victory out, but I'm having serious doubts because people are being led about and maintaining a perpetual confusion instead of actually playing mafia. For instance, if you flip town (which I think you will) then it looks like I'm the next lynch, which is :picard: and if you flip scum MZ and zig will say I tried to save you.
There is just a certain insincerity about rc that I can't place my finger on thus my ribbing (fixing) him regarding his post I quoted. btw, what is the code for :fixed: anyway?
Oblivion also bothers me and I can't help but wonder if Gonzo only had to step in with her furor over the PM debacle to ease everyone else away from breaking a game over a lie.
Our plan was to vote Oblivion if diva flipped town. Why we strayed from that exactly I do not know.
If I had it my way, I would ##vote oblivion## and block Linus or rc tonight but I don't see that happening.

The 2 scum players who were killed were not invited to the party. If contra is not scum, it would mean one of 2 things.
1. There are only 2 scum players and agent 47 is faking the guest role.
2. There are 3 scum players. The third scum player is faking the guest role and agent 47 is one of the invited players or vice versa.
Both options do not look viable to me.

At FF anyway this is classic busing and should get you lynched especially when you brag about it to win your argument.r.c wrote:It was 5 linus and 5 Az before I switched my vote. just want to talk through this a bit.
logic says that contra is an anomaly. an uninvited guest. an officer when there are already 2 officer invitees. gib and I have validated our roles to each other sufficiently that I buy his role is the same as mine and vice versa. and gib has been viewed. he's made a few mix-ups about his night action - viewed and killed instead of blocked.
and I didn't really get a response when I pointed out that a role blocker who learns from the GM whether their block was successful - a hit, if you will, on a player with a night action - is a role blocker who is also an investigator, which is something I've never seen in a game. He suggested I don't know gonzo's or FF's norms wrt roleblockers. and that's true, I guess. but as far as gonzo's norms go, neither does contra.
contra says he blocked me, and the night kill happened anyway.
I am weighing this against how he posts in general. There is something about his posting that looks scummy to me. dramatic, and too much about what is keeping him away from the keyboard somehow.
I've had some similar problems when playing mafia with gonzo. different mafia environments really do have different norms, and I'm still trying to understand the FF norms after 3 recent games there.
Irre, what is it that leads you to believe that Contra is town? So far, every uninvited role has been scum.

It's not a brag. I'm only trying to defend myself because I think a decisive vote on a scum player is townish (may not always be). Anyway the credit goes to the person who started the bw.Contrapposto wrote:At FF anyway this is classic busing and should get you lynched especially when you brag about it to win your argument.r.c wrote:It was 5 linus and 5 Az before I switched my vote. I don't mind getting lynched, but I feel that town cannot afford an incorrect lynch. We know the identity of Anthony Martinez who is A47's third target. If scum get the BG tonight, they can win in tomorrow's night round. So we have just one day left.

17 players in the game.r.c wrote:The 2 scum players who were killed were not invited to the party. If contra is not scum, it would mean one of 2 things.

13 have invitations
That leaves 4.
Since everyone has claimed a job, and have bagged two scum, we know exactly where the extra 2 players are.
There's one extra Officer, and one extra Guest.
Now, unless someone on the Town team is lying, we know the whole setup.
3 Scum, and 1 Agent 47.
Done.

I've had a townie vibe off contra, from the point he revealed his role. I just cannot see why someone would be so elaborate when there was no need. And, if cut out all the game flavour stuff and play straight mafia, I think his posting has been townie.oblivion wrote:just want to talk through this a bit.

I'm not buying zig's role, thus his 'clears' I'm not buying either.

Raven, is there any way the extra Officer could be Town?
Please read my above post, look at the numbers, and try to figure out any scenario where that could happen.
I know you're Town, and I need to figure out if I'm missing something.
RC and Gib, same question.
