Not you too?virphen wrote:vote animavore

The end is upon me.
"There's a gentle sigh which descends like billowing silk upon the soul that accepts its coming death. It's a gentle pocket of air in the turbulence of everyday life. The silk of this feeling flutter-no, "flutters" is too active a word-the silk settles around you as if it has been drifting towards earth forever and has finally found its target. The flag of defeat has been mercifully dropped and, in this action, the loss is not so bad. Defeat itself is defeated by the embrace of the defeat, and death is swallowed up in its victory."

I shall come back to haunt you. Evil one. Scum. I know your game. You may have the rest fooled with your butter-wouldn't-melt attitude but I know the real reason you want me gone. You fear me. You know that I can expose you. Your glance casts down every time I look at you.virphen wrote:I'm sorry, it's just the smell is getting to me.
Does no one think it now suspicious, how many votes I have? The scum all know each other for they have PM rights. Given the amount that voted, and so quickly, there is sinners among those who cast stones. Why would they vote for their own?
I want you to think about what you do. You're making a grave error. We all know who should be here upon the gallows. Please reconsider. I trust you will make the right choice.

The number of votes doesn't exceed the possible innocents, now, does it? But...Animavore wrote:I shall come back to haunt you. Evil one. Scum. I know your game. I have had the same thoughts. When you are dead tomorrow, and IF you should by chance turn out to be innocent, we will have to scrutinize the voters. I feel I have made myself clear as to why I vote as I do, and those reasons are entirely valid. I vote because of my suspicion, and I guess a good deal of the other innocents also do. But should you prove to be innocent, I'm sure there must be Harkkonen scum among the voters. If not all, then at least a few.

Well, for the record I'm voting Animavore because he's singled out another player without giving the slightest bit of evidence why.
If he is innocent, it's his own fucking fault.

I have no idea why animavore is making this campaign against me. I'm with town.
As a sign of good faith I will not vote against animavore, but I would like him to stop thinking about a prior game - a prior life - and focus on the here and now. If he is with town, he needs to stop dividing the good people.

No but, given that all the people in the game who are online now voted I think it likely there is Harkonnen scum happy to lynch me because it keeps them alive another day. Do you think it likely that by chance everyone who has logged on at this time is townsfolk?Normal wrote:

People of town: I suspect animavore is with us, not against us. May we all reconsider our votes.

You might be right, Irre. He might just be misled. His behaviour is highly suspicious though. Animavore, if you really have a reason for accusing Irre with such confidence, please tell us why. Your evidence so far does not match your certainty of her guilt.

Sorry. I'm trying to work out why animavore wants to lynch me. I'm assuming that the scum are in PM contact (and thus know who all the innocents are) and if he was scum then he'd know I was innocent but presumably has no idea about my role beyond that i.e. NO reason to single me out. If he's an innocent and just has a bee under his stillsuit, then he fears me if I'm against him. It would make more sense for him to be innocent, in keeping up this sustained attack against me.Normal wrote:Ah, how apt. I have a strong urge to vote to lynch him because he killed me in the first night of the last game, but I'm resisting that because we need to play this game, not the last one, and the last thing we need is to kill each other off and do the scum's job for them.
If he is guilty though.... it would be so nice to watch him get swallowed by Shai-Hulud.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

I just like stirring shit
I am retracting my Irre vote. I suspect she may be innocent after all. Although the actions of a couple leave me with suspicions. Not saying any names yet. I have flushed the rats out of the bushes.
Irre: 0 votes.
