I'll play. Discworld sounds great. I'll have to read the books.

Discworld Mafia Signups

/in if starting after Saturday,

On the op, only one wizard spells it with 2 zs and he was bloody useless, the rest know how to spell.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Don't go near that elevator - that's just what they want us to do... trap us in a steel box and take us down to the basement.

Yeah, seriously. There's like 30 books in the series, depending on how you count. I've read most of them twice, but a long time ago.

Ha! I thought I'd start at the beginning, but I see the wiki site has links to "suggested reading order" advice. I'll check that out before I dive in.

I spent less than a week per book, so it shouldn't take you that long.

I wish I had the time to play this mafia game :(

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.
