Re: Old West Mafia Day 1
yes zigmen we'd get 25% of the players cleared maybe. maybe only 18% if there are only 2 specials. figure that into the fact that a smart scum team will ensure we only get one seer view by hitting them n1 and n2 if the doc protects them n1 and we'll get maybe 4 players cleared by day 3. with 2 mislynches(most likely on day 1 and 2) we'd still have 6 players uncleared thru view or claim on what might be the final day. Actually you're right we should talk about this. if we could have 4 cleared players tomorrow it could really help in a game that could be over in 3 days. But our specials will be of little or no help if we do this.
Also, not really buying feck's claim and am wondering if it's a ruse to get the real seer to out and dump the blame on zigmen for the lie.

I do not think mass claims are an effective way to scum-hunt. I also think the only thing a mass claim would definitely accomplish is the exposing of town specials.Thereby I think it is an anti-town thing to suggest a mass claim so early in the game.Zigmen wrote:I'm saying we should discuss it. The math supports the idea in this very rare instance of a 12 player game.Gonzo wrote:Hey guys.
Zigmen - a mass claim, really?
Do you think we shouldn't even discuss it?
vote zigmen
Feck was that a serious role claim or a joke?

Also, Feck, why would you even out before we're done discussing this option?
To lock us into it?

I realize that zigmen has a rather unique scum game, but do people really see a benefit in 1/3 or 1/2 the scum team suiciding on day one on the off chance that people would mass out?

Re: Old West Mafia Day 1
Me neither. By phrasing a false claim as if it were just a joke will also help spotlight who is not the Seer when other players wonder if the claim is legitimate or not. It's worthy of a vote but I want to see Feck explain himself first.Uselesstwit wrote: Also, not really buying feck's claim and am wondering if it's a ruse to get the real seer to out and dump the blame on zigmen for the lie.

No I don't think Zig would do that as scum. Which makes me wonder if Gonzo was taking advantage of that to vote himUselesstwit wrote:I realize that zigmen has a rather unique scum game, but do people really see a benefit in 1/3 or 1/2 the scum team suiciding on day one on the off chance that people would mass out?
Also, don't know if Feck should really expand on that
Re: Old West Mafia Day 1
I didn't out out I was being sarcastic ! just to point out what a STUPID IDEA a day one out is but you can explain as you think It's a good idea how you could tell my Fake out (if I was scum ) from the real Seer outing .......... See my fucking point ??????? The only chance I have to fuck up is if I call an indie as town and they out . Even if someone calls my bluff and says i'm lying then on Day one Scum Know who the seer is !!!!!!!Zigmen wrote:Also, Feck, why would you even out before we're done discussing this option?

Actually, my Scum game is nearly indistinguishable from my Town game.Uselesstwit wrote:I realize that zigmen has a rather unique scum game, but do people really see a benefit in 1/3 or 1/2 the scum team suiciding on day one on the off chance that people would mass out?
With one exception, the gambit. I never gambit as Scum (for over a year now).
And, i expect to be the Day1 lynch for suggesting this, and still believe we have the best chance of winning if we treat this like an endgame, rather than a game.
I suggest everyone read the reactions we've heard so far, and weight them against the logic.
I only suggested we discuss a mass out, and I clearly said we may want to consider doing it today or tomorrow.
There's some real gems of awkward reasoning in this thread. Game on!

I am going to take Feck's claim as a joke and give him the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the repercussions of a fake claim for the town.

Discussing a mass out have the same effect as actually going through with one. The reactions you've gained will only help scum search for special.Zigmen wrote:Actually, my Scum game is nearly indistinguishable from my Town game.Uselesstwit wrote:I realize that zigmen has a rather unique scum game, but do people really see a benefit in 1/3 or 1/2 the scum team suiciding on day one on the off chance that people would mass out?

For claiming that mass outs rarely work, which is the exact opposite of the truth in every game I've ever seen it used.
