Re: Scum thread
I think that was more of a general observation that they need to stop killing each other and start trying to find us.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

I believe he is from down under.DP wrote:Timinane? The last game or two on Rat Skep, he's usually a bit noisier than this, but the rat-skep games are generally run at GMT+12/13 so if he's from down under it might explain it.oblivion wrote:have you played mafia with him before?
He voted to lynch virphen and himself for mayor on day 1.
He didn't post on day 2.
He voted to lynch magicziggy and himself for mayor on day 3.
He voted to lynch magicziggy and himself for mayor on day 4.
There was a little bit of interaction between him and Skinny Puppy on day 1. Other than that, it's been post and go.
I dunno. This looks like just another trolley-tracked player to me. But I've never seen him play another game.
Tomorrow is day 5 and we'll be down to 8 town and 3 scum. Most of the town players are hyperfocused on other players. I don't think Blip and higgs2 would have been able to get Meph lynched if I hadn't gotten involved, though it's possible. But, I figured that today I had to look worried and and like I was actively trying to get a good lynch or higgs2 would figure me out.
I wonder if higgs could get a bandwagon going on me tomorrow if she tried? I'm willing to take the risk that I can talk town into lynching someone else if she does try.

Re: Scum thread
I really don't think you will be lynched tomorrow no matter what, I'm more worried about an accusation and then we couldn't whack her tomorrow night. I'm pretty sure the votes are going to be for ziggy and witti tomorrow.
Some advice please, should I keep going after magicziggy or is his incompetence to well shown now?

Re: Scum thread
I posted just after you on the Meph vote, I was writing at the same time and hit submit before I looked at the post review, if they come after one of us tomorrow then it might lead to the other.
Let's kill her tonight and keep the suspicion off you.
Let MacZ or Witti get lynched tomorrow and we kill Tim or Sif tomorrow night. Then it's 6-3 and it gets interesting.
Then can we please kill the monkey Saturday night?

Re: Scum thread
Would it be a win if we killed blip tomorrow night, without the .5 extra vote we'd have an unbeatable block wouldn't we?

Re: Scum thread
I've been thinking that we should leave sif in for the endgame or for a lynch. her participation is so low she's vulnerable to lynch and she'll also be behind the 8 ball info wise.DP wrote:I posted just after you on the Meph vote, I was writing at the same time and hit submit before I looked at the post review, if they come after one of us tomorrow then it might lead to the other.

We should be thinking about who else we want to face at endgame and plan on leaving them in the game as far as NKs. If town lynches them, oh well.

When we equal the number of innocents we win. So, when it gets to 3-3 at the moment.Uselesstwit wrote:Would it be a win if we killed blip tomorrow night, without the .5 extra vote we'd have an unbeatable block wouldn't we?

We win when we acheive parity of numbers with town.Uselesstwit wrote:Would it be a win if we killed blip tomorrow night, without the .5 extra vote we'd have an unbeatable block wouldn't we?
The quickest that can happen is at 3-3, assuming all 3 of us can avoid the lynch that long.
Re: Scum thread
I don't see why not, unless you want to leave him all the way to the end so he can contemplate the humiliation of being right about you on day 1 and yet being left in the game as not a danger to you. :twisted:DP wrote:I posted just after you on the Meph vote, I was writing at the same time and hit submit before I looked at the post review, if they come after one of us tomorrow then it might lead to the other.

Re: Scum thread
Right for some reason I read that as 6 players, three of which were scum. I guess I didn't realize how many players are left since about 4 are afk.

I like the way you think, I'm not going to be around on Saturday, or early Sunday, barring I can get wi-fi out and about on my iTouch, spending the day with SWMBO.oblivion wrote:I don't see why not, unless you want to leave him all the way to the end so he can contemplate the humiliation of being right about you on day 1 and yet being left in the game as not a danger to you. :twisted:DP wrote:I posted just after you on the Meph vote, I was writing at the same time and hit submit before I looked at the post review, if they come after one of us tomorrow then it might lead to the other.

Him still being alive was the best argument during the early game against you being scum. He might be a good one to remove just because, though. We want people who are totally on the wrong track and easy to sway around at the end.DP wrote:I like the way you think, I'm not going to be around on Saturday, or early Sunday, barring I can get wi-fi out and about on my iTouch, spending the day with SWMBO.oblivion wrote:I don't see why not, unless you want to leave him all the way to the end so he can contemplate the humiliation of being right about you on day 1 and yet being left in the game as not a danger to you. :twisted:DP wrote:I posted just after you on the Meph vote, I was writing at the same time and hit submit before I looked at the post review, if they come after one of us tomorrow then it might lead to the other.

Re: Scum thread
possibly, but I was posting like crazy in the thread then, getting the mayor vote finalized and getting "convinced" about meph. I don't think our near collision will stand out given all that.DP wrote:I posted just after you on the Meph vote, I was writing at the same time and hit submit before I looked at the post review, if they come after one of us tomorrow then it might lead to the other.
UT, I'm not sure what to advise right now regarding MZ. My own strategy tomorrow will be to look like I'm regrouping and re-evaluating. I'll probably talk about the players higgs2 fosed today - Redial, Ani and witti. Her showing up dead could maybe be used to implicate one of them.
Re: Scum thread
Today feels really volatile.
Blip is shaken by yesterday's lynch. She's probably going to light out in a new direction. Animavore is calling for the formation of a voting block. The two players that look most vulnerable to me are witticism (didn't vote the last 3 days in a row) and Timinane (would be easy to argue that he's avoided the successful bandwagons every day). Sifaka is vulnerable, too. But, I'm hoping to keep her around for the endgame. Magicziggy might be another good player to have at endgame.
