I'm not involving you in anything, you put your own foot in this. Like I said...

I have fully left behind past games. I vote on what I see. Nothing more.
Part of leaving behind the issues is being able to vote for you if I think you are scum and not being hamstrung in thinking that it might offend.

I did take on board Oblivion's point about you not having a chance to respond.
I looked for an alternative and I found one.

MZ, like I said...

Come on, you've gotto agree that I got at least 8 out of 12 right?

Seriously, no worries. It's just a game and I joke with my friends.

Ed, it's been a running joke about how shit I am at mafia.
I'm hardly ever on a winning team. I make lots of important stuff ups.
And I have antagonised key players on a couple of occasions, you included.
I haven't looked at your points in detail but I'm sure most are true.
I've been wrong on so many occasions it's not funny.
I got lucky today. (I'd prefer to think it was a great insight!)
Let's celebrate. :td:

Now back to business. Charlou. What say you?

I've had real life stuff going on, none of which I have to explain here. I was on the verge of pulling out of the game and asking to be replaced but have decided to try to get into the game, day two. I've been catching up on the gameplay, day one.

OK. First things first, my vote on Twinkie wasn't intended as a revenge vote. I thought I made my reasons clear? This is my third game, if you want to know, and my first game as town.

Unlikely to be scum:
Oblivion, MZ - they both voted for Budskiboo.

Haven't posted enough to read:
Charlou, Denny.

feral p - I can't really judge myself. FYI, I'm town.
Feck - hmm, I don't know. I couldn't think of anything to say last time, when he was scum. His posts just don't seem very memorable. Maybe he's trying to keep a low profile? He did say he couldn't post last night, though, so...
Mantis - Voted for Ed, then withdrew it, instead not voting for anyone.
Eduard - Voted for no-one. A reasonable move, even if it was a mistake, IMO. I don't think he's done much scum hunting, though.
Twinkie - Voted for me, on (IMO) little evidence. I called her out and she called it a 'revenge vote', which I don't think it was. I could be wrong.
Ani - voted for Budski then withdrew it and voted for Twinkie, after I had already voted for her (so she had 2 votes). He's the most suspicious, IMO.

So that's my round-up. Not great, but I know who I'll be voting for, unless anything changes. Thoughts?

Not very good at this, are you?

I voted for Twinkie because she's playing the 'ol Butter wouldn't melt in my mouth game. That's where the person tries their best to act innocent and play a pro-town game but comes off a bit too enthusiastic.
I was right with Budski but his crying about being picked on made me unvote so as not to look like a prick. I had a feeling it might be a ruse but still.

Mantis seems to be on my radar and Twinkie
Denny and Charlou I would like to hear more from .

Ani seems to be working hard for the town .

I don't think FP is innocent, based on the posts he's given thusfar. Maybe it's just a ruse to keep playing the same style to avoid suspicion after noticing how conscientious players like oblivion keeps tabs on previous player behaviour. But FP did vote for Budski? Not sure, something smells like a Justin Timberlake cologne.

Hi oblivion, I'm not familiar with you either, what's your RatSkep username?
My name at ratskeps is ravenscape. I don't play mafia there.

On reread, this really pings. Eduard if you believe random votes aren't worth it, you are wrong.

Yes possibly killing innocent specials on day 1 really improves the odds for our team (assuming you are also town).
Since there isn't a time limit, making rash decisions on day 1 won't be a wise choice according to me. In retrospect, I'm glad you called Budski out, don't get me wrong.

There is a 12 hour time limit. That's why there was such a flurry of activity at the end of the game day. The lynch could have been decided by a bunch of onesie votes and my extra half-vote, which wouldn't have been very helpful to town at all on day 1. as it is, we have some pretty decent info to think about tomorrow. I won't be speculating about that info until the game day starts because it appears to me that in the previous games scum had a pretty good source of info in the night talk by town.

oblivion wrote: One can argue whether the day 1 lynch is truly random, but even if you believe it is, the info town gets from it to analyze in later days makes it worth the probability that a truly random lynch will lynch town.

What I meant with my initial post quoted is that I'm about to go to sleep and I will not be voting for anyone, because I haven't seen enough reason to suspect someone on a balance of probabilities (i.e., most likely being scum). In absence of adequate suspicion I could either refrain from posting or randomly choose someone for a lynch (which the scum team could use to start a trend and other people would chime in to keep flying under the radar). I refrained, I'm sorry if people interpret that as...

Just keep in mind that it's a 12 hour day that will end at an inconvenient time for you. If town has no voting record for you later in the game, that will become a concern.

oblivion wrote:The post also smacks of hittin da club.

I'm unfamiliar with this slang, but I assume it means my previous post looks suspicious.

hittin da club is mafia slang where I learned the game. It means leaving the game day without committing to whatever is currently going on - putting down a vote, or in some cases answering questions.
