Old West Mafia - Night 1 chat

Post by Magicziggy » Thu Sep 08, 2011 8:49 pm

I saw the ksen thing as four town getting very lucky. Too much wifom if it was a bussing, especially if gonzo is scum.

Well I read it now. I think this clears gib, irre, and Feck for me. Highly doubt it was a bussing, but it is not impossible.

I caught Zigmen as scum in the last game we played when I didn't fall for his trying to direct the town. I feel like he is really trying to have control over the dialogue and find his rhetoric to be more like his scum game than his town game. I am not taking his word that his town/scum game are indistinguishable, I actually find him a pretty easy player to read. Notwithstanding I have seen town push for a mass claim before. Yesterday he said he wants a massclaim tomorrow by the latest, which means he still going to be pushing it. With one scum dead he might actually talk some players into claiming Day 2. For now I rest my case on the issue and refuse to take part in a massclaim. I want to work on my scumhunting, I don't want to break the game.

rereading I'm thinking irre is right and mantis might be a very good choice for our next lynch. What do others think?

Gonzo, I agree with most of your assessment of zigmen. The bit that is hard to decipher in his play is just how ballsy he's willing to be as scum. I too read his scum game at TR, so while I thought his BW was a cheap vote, he's in my scummy pile until he starts acting a lot more townish.

You wrote something weird though: 'a bussing is not impossible' ...er, but if you are town, it truly is. If you are scum, then rc's vote away from you would be the bussing one IMO.

MZ, the thing about mantis' comment re you and being mayor is, she could simply have mayor-voted you. She went a long way out of her way to talk you up with the hedge about you being viewed. Almost as if she were scum and you were the don. I'm interested to hear her views on the happenings and FoS's since she last posted.

huh? What do I have to do with it. I meant that it wouldn't be impossible that you, gib, or Feck were bussing ksen but that I don't believe that is the case just that I don't want to rule it out of mind completely. I said this because I remember you saying to someone in another game on Rationalia that if they didn't think scum buss eachother on Rationalia that they had another thing coming. With that in mind, I could maybe see you bussing someone as scum.

I don't see what that has to do with my alignment. Could you explain what you meant in the above quote?

btw that bit about someone saying on here that if people didn't think scum bussed each other on rationalia that they had another thing coming to them, IIRC it was feck who said that.

##vote Irretating##
"What a man believes upon grossly insufficient evidence is an index into his desires -- desires of which he himself is often unconscious. If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is explained in this way."
