Ok, we're started.

First off, I will be missing for large chunks of Friday due to travelling, will check in as much as I can.

Third off, I'm not seeing the rationale behind a mass claim this early, we will be handing scum our specials on a plate. FOS zigmen for that.

Fourth off(on a roll here), feck claiming seer day 1, not even he is that mad, although a bit odd.

Mass claim diverts from the need for scum hunting. This whole debate does that. However, I'll turn it around . Tentative call of zigmen and Feck as town. I don't think scum would be likely to do what they have done. Zigmen to call for a mass claim first post. Feck, to joke about being the seer. First nomination for scum I have is gonzo for joint on zigmen.

More thoughts on mass claim.

12 players, there's no chance that we'd all agree to a day 1 mass claim.
It places specials in a difficult position of not knowing if they are being lead to doom by scum.
Every vanilla that claims puts more focus on those that don't, even if they don;t agree with the concept.


However, the discussion itself is revealing. I hope.

I'm also interested that Jerome was sober enough to make a judgement about a zigmen post and vote, but not sober enough to string together a coherent thought.

I never usually like mass claims cause it seems to take the fun out of it. In this case we'd probably have 2-3 cleared players, and the rest vanilla town. 2 would be worst case scenario, and if the doctor protects properly, they might stay alive until day 3 or so. But then after that, just a bunch of vanilla town's to work with. Are we sure this game is only going to last several days?

That's kinda the point. There's not much else to discuss in a 12 player game, so I figured I'd see where people sided on the issue.

And, mathematically, it works pretty well.

Maybe we can claim tomorrow, but I think we'll lose our advantage by then and it will become pointless.
