Anyone want Timebomb 2?
Curious if there's interest in another Timebomb game.
For those of you who may have missed the first game, Timebomb featured a unique spin on Mafia - You could not kill or be killed until enough of the bombs were armed and BOOM, everyone who was armed blew up at once.
Votes added points to bombvests to arm them. Scum could dole out points at night as well.
The game also featured a tedious coding structure so players knew how close to armed their bombvests were.
DennyB and I learned a lot from that game, realized it was a bit pro-scum, and can adapt it into a simpler, more balanced version.
It was the most enjoyable game I have ever GMed, and would be happy to see if DennyB would consider codesigning a remake.
I'm adding a poll to see if there is interest, or whether we should just let that variation of Mafia fade away into the sunset .
It would probably launch in August/September. This is a ten day poll.

I'm always happy to see gm's experiment with games, so I'll play. If the board is working decently again by then. Also, you need to get rid of the scum being able subtract points from themselves. Town successfully IDing a scum, piling enough votes on him to get him to explode only to have him basically delynch himself with no way for town to know was a bit more that a little scum favored.

I think perhaps I'm just too naturally innocent and lovely, because I found it hard to be cast as scum, and have to stay in the game after the jig was up.

I like weird experimental games. I would give it a try.

Re: Anyone want Timebomb 2?
I just had an interesting read of (some of) the previous game.
At risk of being a spoil sport, I went with the "if it were simpler" option because I'm quite sure all the arming and disarming of vests stuff would be moot - my poor old brain would explode long before endgame, oozing down on my keyboard in a most unseemly way.
Other than that, I think it was a very interesting concept. Too tricky for me, but I still admire the construct.

It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.

I'm in for that, Zig.
Don't go near that elevator - that's just what they want us to do... trap us in a steel box and take us down to the basement.
