The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

I think the kind of reaction matters. reacting by attacking the FoSer and calling the FoS scummy looks like flail. often a FoS is over a misunderstanding. sometimes just reiterating the original statement in more detail will clear things up. If not, IMO it's usually most productive to just move on and do your job as town - analyze, ask questions, FoS, analyze the result, ask more questions, vote, etc. I think what speaks to other town players is whether you're doing stuff they think needs doing or not. even if you pick up a FoS or two in a game day, the lasting impression is what you did, not who FoSed you.irretating wrote:Callan,I think you were unlucky. Seems not reacting to being voted or FoSed is the only acceptable reaction. TR is even more unforgiving that way.
And if you're scum, try to fake that.
I'm always happy to have a shadow as a GM or be a shadow as a GM, too.Zigmen, thanks so much for your offer! I'll be in touch via PM.

it is getting to be too much eh? Having a tough time being scum with the mass effect game?higgs2 wrote:Please don't cast me as scum any more. kay thx bai

Being town is much much easier though. It takes a toll on you to come up with lies all the time. And it makes me really paranoid when someone puts a single vote on me.
I also can't believe that Denny was so obvious with the lie detection thing, but I had no clue. I liked the roles this game Irre... very interesting.
Agreed though that the sensor is a huge bonus for town.

Callan, I can understand your particular frustration... because I know that the games before this one, you were lynched first day, twice.
I think it's fun when you join the game. Please continue

I have lynch voted players and then taken my vote off them after seeing their reaction. That is the whole point behind a pressure vote, to see someone's reaction. but freaking out and going over the top and then leaving the game screams scum.irretating wrote:Callan,I think you were unlucky. I don't want to be scum any more because it screws up my town game and also because I like it and I'm afraid I will get stuck on the dark side.
