Does being fat really increase your risk of getting certain cancers? If so, why? And how fat are we talking, to see a significant increase in risk?

Thanks. That site was very helpful. And I appreciate not having to wade through page after page of pop science to get to it.

I love doing this kind of work, but very occasionally it gets a bit too stressful and a break is needed. This is the first weekend in three I have had both days off and the first in two I've had at least one day off, and sometimes timings get really weird, like 11 PM to 1 AM :P

GFL, I would be following your work with intense interest if I could understand even one word in ten.

My Romanian friend swears that thousands have been cured of cancer by this doctor's "diet" plan.

Rudolf Breuss Cancer Cure

What do you know about him and his cures of cancers? is there any substance to this?

Does The wiki on Rudolf Breuss http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolf_Breuss tell you something you did not know already?

To actual doctors here... in what state would a normal person be on a regimen of juices and tea ? (assuming enough sugar in them that they won't starve altogether)
GFL, you evaluation of such a diet on a person weakened by cancer?

By the time advanced disease comes around with cachexia, people are already starving on a normal diet!

Here's what I've been getting up to. Having found a way to target a protein that is required for the protein produced by a gene that is overexpressed in HPV positive cancers to function, I subsequently managed to establish it can slow down how quickly HPV positive cancer cells can migrate. Unfortunately I cannot reveal what drug it was et cetera, but I've still got some slick microscope footage.
