And yes, even with the latest Feedback dramaz, ratskep would be a relative haven of campfire-sitting, guitar-strumming, hand-holding kum-by-yahing bonhomie without Scot Dutchy. Imagine how boring!!
Pretty much all I do over there is post self-taken photos of wildlife and drop a pearl of wisdom into a philosophy thread from time to time, so to me reading that last part was equivalent to "blah blah Ginger blah blah."

You're missing out, rev. Shit's gettin' crazy over there. Gaskets are being blown left and right. If you enjoy ratskep drama, now is not the time to not have a ratskep sock.

Then again, the threads in question are probably all locked by now...

I can't tell if your post is a joke or not. It's so ridiculous that it must be a joke but on the off-chance that it's not I'll bite.
HomerJay wrote:took a much more sinister and creepy turn a few weeks ago when stijndeloose, trying to show that the ex-mods were getting favours, revealed that he has been keep a log of users and incidents over there (you get the sense he reports a lot of posts):
Some of those by MoS were fairly clear. That's quite likely, and I didn't mean to target MoS or anything (just happened to have that list near at hand).
Who the fuck keeps lists? Who the fuck keeps those lists 'near at hand' ready in case they're needed?

It's a very creepy case of SIWOTI.
A little bit of misrepresentation there, don't you think? Stijn said that those were the ones he had on hand because he had recently PM'd the mods about them. So your question becomes: "Who has information on hand that they had recently PM'd someone else on a forum?". Well, anyone with an account on that forum, I'd presume.
HomerJay wrote:The constantly trolling from Mr Samsa was something I think a lot of people hoped would stop when he was given a decent suspension but he came back with it in his mouth and hasn't let go. It was certainly a better place without him.
:funny: "Constant trolling"? Okay, now I know you're joking.
HomerJay wrote:Even Fallible stopped her very ugly and very personal abuse of Thwoth for a while when Samsa was off but she's back up and running now.
Is it personal abuse if they deserve it? To the Philosophy board! But more seriously, it's also possible that the 'abuse' has started because the mods have made some cracking decisions recently, including sanctioning Fallible for what they explicitly state were comments that did not quite break the rules. When asked for further clarification, it took THWOTH 3 or 4 locked threads to finally halfway answer the question she was asking.
HomerJay wrote:I think there's a good case here for a rule about not trolling other boards, like they have at ratskep (which probably came in under their watch) and then just banning them.
I don't think you could make a good case for that because, as far as I know, rationalia has never had a problem with people using it to coordinate trolling attacks on ratskep.

I assume I've been using super secret code words that even I can't decipher since I wasn't aware of any trolling or coordinated attacks.

Who have I been working with, anybody know?
Secret trolling coordinator reporting for duty, sir! Now let's pick up our trolling coordinating where we left off er...one second...should be around here somewhere, no..? OK can someone point me towards our previous conversations where we were coordinating our trolling of ratskep? Nobody? No? Hmm. Well then. I guess Weaver must have pulled that accusation directly from his cornholio. Hi Weaver - you want to tell the people why you've started lying about the actions of others when any fucker can look at what's actually been said here, which so far has been me pratting about and swearing at Scot?

You cracked me up in that Feedback thread, by the way - after theropod posted the last of his rants, Scott1328 comes in with "Okay...so that happened..." :funny: then valiantly tries to get everyone back on topic.
Didn't do much good, though :x

Lord knows, I am not Mr. Samsa's bestest fan, but it gripes me when legitimate complaints are dismissed out of hand based on who made the complaint.
I think the problem is that the current mods, and obviously some ex mods, seem to view any criticism of their actions as an attack and "trolling". So why would they bother to take the query seriously, it's just trolling and they can disrupt the thread as much as they like.

The ridiculous thing is that half of the feedback threads I start are done on the request of other people. They don't want to deal with the backlash from the community for asking a question or get on the mods bad side for criticizing them so they ask me to argue it for them.

If that's how the average forum goer views the feedback forum, I think they have a bigger problem than my supposed "trolling". And that in itself is fucked up - you can love me or hate me but I'm clearly not a troll under any reasonable definition of the word.

Why do people who are so bothered by these topics read the thread? How is their upset anyone's responsibility but their own?

Okay, so I go to RatSkep and find Samsa suspended. I don't see a mod note in the threads he is posting in, but now RatSkep is down.

WTF is going on there?

I've been given a 24 hour suspension for some reason whilst they make judgement on my posts. Weaver reported me because I said "rationalia" instead of "other sites" (I edited it 10 mins after saying it and realising the slip up) and he's claiming that without the PMs he sent to me there's no way I would've known that he was referring to Rationalia (ignoring the fact that I don't post on any other forums so I'm not sure where else I could be coordinating my troll attacks), and Theropod reported a couple of my posts in the ADHD thread a few days ago where I said that Metatron was making some fundamental errors which were probably due to his lack of knowledge of how science works. And it's weird that I got the tempban because I hadn't posted for like 12 hours before the suspension was given to me - what's the point? 24 hr temp bans are to stop someone who's flaming or spamming up the forum and it prevents them from digging their hole any further but that obviously doesn't describe me.

Theropod and Weaver, on the other hand, were having absolute meltdowns abusing everyone left, right, and centre, yet I'm willing to bet that they don't have temp bans.

That would completely destroy the best thing about this board, so I must disagree. Watching the psychotic behavior over there and then coming here and watching the rest of the story here is highly, highly amusing.

I'm SO enjoying watching RatSkep burrow its own collective head up it's own collective ass until it disappears in a singularity.

Good riddance.
