I suspect some of the readers of the increasingly silly blogs are. From what I have seen everybody is 'moving on' whilst doing the exact opposite.

Still, it passes an hour or two at work...

I don't understand at all what is wrong with that T-shirt.

And I'm saying this as a woman who understands some of the beef with Marty Klein and the swingers card.

It's offensive to insist that being a woman doesn't mean you automatically identify with a certain woman's group? What?! This is harrassment???
Out of the people that ever were, almost all of them are dead.
There are way more dead people, and you're all gonna die
and then you're gonna be dead for way longer than you're alive.
Like that's mostly what you're ever gonna be.
You're just dead people that didn't die yet.

Isn't it a shame when passion, energy, and material resources are wasted on raging against a minor offense?

I suppose it’s reassuring in a way to observe that Atheists / Skeptics / Humanists are as prone to the same temptations of faction and egomania as happens to everyone else in the world. What other value all this has I don’t know.

For my part I think it would be easier to nail jelly to a wall than to presume to speak for a community of Atheists / Skeptics / Humanists. Those who try run the risk of looking like charlatans or worse.

It has value to me from the point of view of watching how noise affects an information system and yet another case of the emotive and unreasonable demands of "Feminists" determining the conditions of discussion.

Perhaps their motto should be "I am woman, hear me whine!"

So, am I right that the hullabaloo is about a woman who wore a t-shirt that said she isn't a skepchick, or a woman skeptic, she's a skeptic? Did someone really make a big deal of this? I didn't see any of the articles, except what T-foot wrote through the link above.

Did one of the Skepchicks really have to cancel her appearance or cut it short because of that t-shirt?

The second link, earlier, brought you straight to her article. What happened?
