That line is applied to those opposing progressives, intersectional feminists, and such. When it comes to the other way around, then even unsavory comments on the Twitter are to be deemed criminal. Kate Smurthwaite, for example, recently called for Milo Yiannopolis to be jailed for what he wrote on Twitter, and her feminist supporters applauded.

I can't find this story anywhere except on one known-liar of a right-wing site called Breitbart. Do you know a good source?

I did just come across the word "femteruptting" which has a far better ring as a portmanteau than "mansplaining" though. Lol.

Whose turned it into a "controversy?"
People like you and DD etc who get butthurt out of all proportion.
Voicing opposition to an authoritarian pack of hypocrites is not butthurt. It's no different than my opposition to religions and such.
Except that your opposition to religion isn't ranty and grossly hyperbolic like your's and Dodo's responses in this thread have been.

Actually, I was making the point that many extremely illiberal people try to identify themselves as liberal, when in fact they are authoritarian and "Progressive" (i.e., not liberal).

I'm liberal. rEvolutionist is Progressive.
Progressives aren't necessarily authoritarian. On the four axis political scale I'm only one tiny square from as libertarian as you can get.

It's an episode of The Big Questions. Here is a critique. See around 18 minutes and 30 seconds to 19 minutes, where she says that when we see some high profile individuals, perhaps some in the studio at that time (she'd been having an exchange with Milo and they made accusations that he supported harassment and called for an assassination), are locked up, then some other folks will back off....

This is the kind of thing authoritarians and progressives call for. They want their opponents to shut up, which is in general o.k., but when they don't shut up, they want them locked up. They want them no platformed, censored and in some cases, jailed. Now, anyone who has followed Milo Yiannopolis, if you think that he has said anything worthy of jail time, then you are no friend of free speech, in my view, and you are not liberal.

No such thing as femterupting. Women are marginalized, and so they cannot interrupt a man.

Then you haven't read my rants on religion. But, the worst thing is, I'm not being hyperbolic. Just being accurate about what feminists are up to SEEMS hyperbolic to someone who isn't following their activities. They are really THAT nutty. Like the feminist calling for Milo to be jailed for what he wrote on the Twitter, because women are so scared -- although they are 75% of Twitter users - they are so scared to say anything on Twitter because guy's like Milo are posting anti-feminist rhetoric.

God I'm not watching that crap. I'm just looking for an account of who said what in context. Breitbart and MRA sites only post the line about someone should be locked up. No context.

No no. It's not an interruption when they cut off and talk over a man. It's women getting their equal platform when they do it. A man interrupting a woman is misogynistic and dismissive of a woman's lived experiences. A women doing the same thing to a man is just getting equal time by cutting off the Patriarchy.

You can't interrupt up, only down.

Dude, I gave you the exact time she says it -- the words "locked up" are at about 18 minutes and 50 seconds. To get the context, just fucking listen to a few minutes before it. You don't have to listen to the whole thing.
