Yep. I'll get a few confidants to proofread and criticise it - including you, if you wanna.

I've even been keeping Timonen himself in the loop about this. Serious shit. :teef:

I'll give it a looking at and see if I spot any flaws, holes, ambiguities, omissions or commissions because one more pair of eyes never hurts. But you probably shouldn't count me as one of the people actually qualified to proofread and critique this sort of thing.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Meh - in whatever state it gets published, I can at least be assured that it'll be better executed than RDFRS's lawsuit against Josh Timonen. :coffee:

Then they for sudden joy did weep,
And I for sorrow sung,
That such a king should play bo-peep,
And go the fools among.

Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you got till it's gone… They paved paradise, and put up a parking lot…

I'm somehow reminded of a Manic Street Preachers lyric here,

"to feel forgiveness you gotta forgive, it's lost on me I believe in revenge"

Insofar as revenge goes, I've done practically nothing actively to harm them, besides discussing - factually - how they have in some cases grossly fucked up. They just continue to excel in practically making my point for me. I'm happy to let the experts take care of my vengeance for me. :tea:

Still nonetheless, I've got to go listen to that song now, or it'll be stuck in my head all day...

With hindsight, being booted by RDF might have been the best thing that happened to me, if this is the sort of shenanigans that was going on behind the scenes. Frankly, I'm with Harold MacMillan on this one.

For those unfamiliar with the reference, MacMillan once played host to JFK, during his term as President. Apparently, MacMillan was told that JFK couldn't function properly unless he got his end away at least once a day, and upon being told this, was seen visibly shaking his head.

Well, Richard is "delighted" with the new look - and we all know (from bitter experience) how utterly fine his judgement is!

So is this about punishment then? Retribution?

Are you going to get a legal opinion on your report before 'putting it out there?'
Rationalia relies on voluntary donations. There is no obligation of course, but if you value this place and want to see it continue please consider making a small donation towards the forum's running costs.
Details on how to do that can be found here.

Truth? Honesty? Transparency? Justice? Quixotism?

I really can't fucking stand willful dishonesty. I mean, I can barely tolerate incompetence alone - but real, calculated, black lies nauseate me on a deeply visceral level. As do cynicism and insincerity. I just can't bear it.
Are you going to get a legal opinion on your report before 'putting it out there?'
Sure. I'll pass it by a few lawyers I know - but call me cavalier - my own personal feeling, for what it's worth, is that they'd be standing to potentially lose far more than they could gain by threatening me legally - not least with the Streisand Effect, and especially since the evidence I'll present is a straightforward matter of non-fiction. :tea:
