Here.

I'm both saddened (I learned a great deal in the forums, especially "Debunking Creationsim) and disappointed by the way RDF has handled this. I don't question their right to act as they did. I question their wisdom.

They don't seem to be showing that they have the slightest understanding of Internet communities and social media. I expect they will be unpleasantly surprised at the downturn in traffic the site takes over the next few months.

I've been checking out the names in this thread and on the lifeboat lists. It is easy to forget how many people actively participat on the RDF forums - or did, until we were told our input was only provisionally welcome.

I have jotted down a few names I don't recall having seen on the lists or posting here:

Caramelle
c_mullark
DoctorE
doreldam
Ex-OEC
Grahbud
HAJiME
Helena M
Higher_Evolutionary
Innominate
mindyourmind
MrMiyagi
Pacioli
Paul Almond
Strappado
THWOTH
twistor59
viralmeme

Apologies to anybody whose name I haven't thought of. There are just too many worthwhile posters to readily remember you all. I hope to see more of your posts.

Except Robert Byers, who can still go fuck himself.

Good to see you made it, xrayzed! I've crossed out some names of people that are here. If you go to the Welcome section there's a thread with a list of all the RDF survivors. Some are going by different names.

mindyourmind is here IIRC, but under the name "Fresh" - not posted for quite some time I don't think
It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.

I'm on the list?
Hey good to see you made it! I'm never going to remember who you are with your new username and avatar, so if I treat you like a complete stranger it's because I'm senile not because I'm playing hard to get or something..
Good to see you too
And ditto on the not recognizing you, you have changed... a lot... :shifty: ;)
I've written akigr8 in the "about me", but I'll put it in the sig also to ease the transition.
I'm Thor, butt not complaining.

I was away for a couple of days, only to come back wondering, "what the hell just happened?!"

The Richard Dawkins forum wasn't only about Atheism, it was about bringing rational people together to discuss subjects aside from religion, such as Philosophy, Politics, Science, and other off-topic...topics.

The forum, whether in the philosophy or the politics section, showed the diversity amongst atheists. It showed the foolishness of the religious to put atheists in one basket.

It took me a few days to figure out what happened. I was afraid something went bonkers on my side when I couldn't post. Some time later I figured it out, and found an email pointing me to this forum :)

I haven't seen TruthSeeker or Flight306 - was that the guy who'd worked out a whole system of soul reincarnation or was that the other one? I can't remember.

Edit: Darwin2 and Eegogee are still missing
