Yeah, that's rational...
Desire is NOT rational.
However if your desire to reason ignores criticism, if the desire of compassion is at the expense of group blamed for a concocted historical conspiracy theory and if one has the integrity to "evacuate" undesirables from society yes the dynamic is the same as is some of the rhetoric and the broad "all things to every man" political platitudes.
The only difference is that people took the Nazis seriously while we are laughing at this.

Well it is good to know when the time comes I get to throw Lak in the oven to keep myself alive a few days longer.

I bet A Hermit looks cute in a Hugo Boss designed SS uniform as well.

So I was sitting last night pondering what all this was about because it still seems so bizarre. Then I recalled that essentially they want to provide a "safe place" free from criticism and ridicule for what seems to me to be in essence a bunch of for want of a better word "meeks". People who are frightened of their own imaginations. Then I recalled my ranting on about Ray Comfort being and anti-body that might get rid of some of the credulous. Then I recalled some of those Eastern European fuckers who were involved in a charity shceme to house homeless and battered women only to abduct them and sell them off as sex slaves. Then I recalled Myers and his Octopus fixation.
The horrible truth revealed itself!
It's the Cthulhu Cult. They are going to abduct women under the guise of social Justice and feed them to their Dark God.
We can stop this, if anyone is actually that bothered.
Dark Gods that are not fed tend to wake up.

Which would be the correct opinion. However Nobodies Plus (Cthulhu)
Atheism Plus is a branch of the Cthulhu cult. If they start having conferences at coastal regions on the Pacific, you can guarantee some of those girls will be screaming about more than coffee.

Stolen from someone's FB status:
"Atheism Plus is nothing more than a divisive litmus test for atheists. It is a club contrived so that its members will share a sense of ¨we-ness¨. It is based on the safety in numbers philosophy. There are literally thousands of studies on the topic. Atheism Plus is contrived for the same reason all In-Groups are contrived. In our desire to feel safe, we bond together with those whom we think are most like us. Their group is a clique, divisive and will fail." - Naomi Chambers

All I know is you guys better cool it with the Nazi references before The Godwin Police bust down our doors in the middle of the night and pack us in boxcars on a Godwin Train bound for...

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Harold was a son of Godwin, the powerful Earl of Wessex, and his wife Gytha Thorkelsdóttir, whose supposed brother Ulf Jarl was the son-in-law of Sweyn I and the father of Sweyn II of Denmark. Also famous for his law re nazis.

Atheism + could do with a Godwin or two:
William Godwin (3 March 1756 – 7 April 1836) was an English journalist, political philosopher and novelist. He is considered one of the first exponents of utilitarianism, and the first modern proponent of anarchism.[1] Godwin is most famous for two books that he published within the space of a year: An Enquiry Concerning Political Justice, an attack on political institutions, and Things as They Are; or, The Adventures of Caleb Williams, which attacks aristocratic privilege, but also is the first mystery novel. Based on the success of both, Godwin featured prominently in the radical circles of London in the 1790s. In the ensuing conservative reaction to British radicalism, Godwin was attacked, in part because of his marriage to the pioneering feminist writer Mary Wollstonecraft in 1797 and his candid biography of her after her death; their daughter, Mary Godwin (later Mary Shelley) would go on to write Frankenstein and marry the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. Godwin wrote prolifically in the genres of novels, history and demography throughout his lifetime. With his second wife, Mary Jane Clairmont, he wrote children's primers on Biblical and classical history, which he published along with such works as Charles and Mary Lamb's Tales from Shakespeare. Using the pseudonym Edward Baldwin, he wrote a variety of books for children, including a version of Jack and the Beanstalk.[2] He also has had considerable influence on British literature and literary culture.
Also from Wikipedia.
Atheism + ideas are not exactly as cutting edge as those idiots like to think they are.

Very loud nobodies who know how to court publicity.
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

We're all nobodies. Most of the population here have never even
heard of Richard Dawkins or if they did, never read any of his books. The online atheist community is a teacup.
