Ratz is one of many places on the internet where a person can kick back and have a good time among interwebz friends. I came here, initially, for the people rather than the format. There are some good people here- good enough that the format doesn't really matter. Even Pawiz. All that's been keeping me away has been an inability to afford home internet.

This is a great place, but it has its own ways already well in place. The potential exists to recreate much of what we had at RD in a whole new forum that is not dependent on him -- Gallstones has already volunteered to be a mod again, for one -- and I would like that very much as well. I hope many people will sign up for Rational Skepticism, but I also hope many will stay here too.
