The clock-system surrounding midnight has confused me. I have been informed that "You have been banned from this board [ratskep] until Sep 09, 2015 12:00 am".

... It's certainly not a reference to midnight [after the end of September the 8th] since I've just tried to log in and was duly informed that I'm still banned. Yet, surely midnight at the end of this day (it's now after midnight here, so it's officially the 9th) (in about 23 hours) cannot be referenced as 12.00 am on September 9th??

Could it be a reference to midday, today??? At this point, I have no idea. I will try to log-in again after lunch, tomorrow.

Worse case scenario is that it's a reference to midnight, in about 23 hours. But how the fuck can that be defined as 12 am on the 9th of September? I mean, how can midnight at the end of Wednesday be a reference to the 12th hour of its morning?? :thinks:

Am I being totally thick?

Correctly, 12:00am was the midnight that has just been. But if you are still listed as banned, I would check again both at midday and at midnight tomorrow!

Hold on, something strange has just happened. I tried to log in to ratskep again and now I've been let in. Why I wasn't let in in the first instance [after midnight] is a bit of a mystery, but at least I'm there. So, you can now ignore my present ramblings.

That's what I thought for a minute, but that forum's server seems to be in Germany, which is GMT +1. If so, James should have been readmitted an hour earlier than notified.
