Actually, I suppose I'm in all of a bit of a lather over this RDF business.

On the one hand, we have the magnificent outpouring of reason and emotion, all over the web and in the major media, castigating Dawkins for his poor behaviour (whether conducted by his minions or not, he's the head shed), and on the other, the utter docility of the front pagers who are tolerating without a bleat the deletion of their posts one by one by another Dawkins minion called /Mike.

Bella, it makes some sense, actually. RD's post a year ago saying he hates moderation has been shown up to be a lie of gargantuan proportions. Even the heavily moderated forum wasn't moderated enough for him. The front pages are next, as the sneakily and silently introduced moderator there called /Mike lives up to his master's expectations by expunging any real discourse unfavourable to the Dawk.

Sad ending, but predictable, once Dawkins started to become more political than academic, signalled late last year by his atrocious, political awarding of the 'Richard Dawkins' award to that cunt of anti-medicine Maher. Shame - I quite liked the bloke once.

This is in complete concordance with my musings right after this happened that the reasons behind wanting to change the forum (& now the front page evidently) are political in nature. There is something in the offing for RD I expect & he thought he could dispense with things that would be politically damaging to him once whatever it is becomes public. Sadly he sent in a boy/s to do a mans job. Hilariously, as can be seen all over these threads there are many instances of RD speaking about people in ways he ought not have & is shocked that others have about Josh & these too are now being dug from the archives of memory for further public airing. Pots & kettles indeed.

Seriously, I think I fucked up big time - I had a post but simply pressed 'submit' and then fucked off to make sure there was no indelible vomiting happing elsewhere in the house. Should have waited - it takes a few taps to get a post uploaded here, I now note.
