Hey guy's, here's a joke:

What's the difference between a forum and a discussion board?

The format and the way you contribute!

AH HA HA...

Wow.

It's just so...unexpected.

Fuck!

All that time and brainpower spent by the former members on in-depth science without a word from Dawkins.

Someone wants to talk about the difference between a planet and a horse and he gets Richard to post the first response.

He's lost the plot allright... along with the theme music, the players, the script, the cinematographer, the producers, the gaffers... he's lost track of everything but a couple of kids who wandered onto the set.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

The Net is best considered analogous to communication with disincarnate intelligences. As any neophyte would tell you. Do not invoke that which you have no facility to banish.

I don't even know what to say. It's so ridiculous it's almost funny. But it's not. It's just sad.
[Disclaimer - if this is comes across like I think I know what I'm talking about, I want to make it clear that I don't. I'm just trying to get my thoughts down]

Is a horse a planet?

You're all missing the point - this is the proof that the spirit of RDF is alive and well again. This is the humour and wit that permeated the forum, writ large across and deeply infused into the new-style discussion area. All is right in the world again! :shiver: How could you people doubt that the new would not exceed the old in all ways?

It's actually very funny.
In space, nobody hears you whinny.
Fuck you lot.

I'm going back to RDF to join in.
