So what if he has to talk to a few reporters and religious knobs about it... he does that all the time. In a few days it will be over for him... in all reality.
This is not about what's fair.... but that's what happens all the time right?
I agree, I doubt it will be a "disaster". And I don't particularly want it to be if a PR disaster would obstruct the aims of the RDF which are still worthy.
But I would very much like for the mods & volunteers and everyone else who put in a positive contribution to get an apology and an acknowledgement of their own good efforts. That's the least many deserve.

Oh I know... I can feel how much that would help people who have seriously been disrespected for such wonderful efforts. Not to mention all the material that will be lost. But... if this is really just another day at the office over at RDF (admittedly one where they're scrambling to delete posts they disagree with on the front page.. teehee... but come on, this is NOT the biggest problem they have faced I am sure), the chances of them thinking 'hey, lets apologize to the mods' is pretty much nil. Richard has said his thing, and we have too. But like a crappy divorce... there won't be any 'closure' ...
I think - therefore I am atheist

It's a bit of a disaster, as it's other skeptics turning on him.

I suppose my last post was deleted. What's the reason this time?

Yep, thanks for reminding of the one I posted a few moments before. What would I do without you.
What on earth has that to do with the deletion and the - very supposed - reason for it?
Bit too sarcastic for tastes here? Or did I not say how wonderful all you ex-RD.net mods are?
Would simply love an answer.

For myself, I do know what happened, because I was there, and the conclusions I have drawn are, as always, based on the most parsimonious explanation of the evidence presented to me.
You know only one side of it, just like Richard only knows one side of it (presumably). Give the other side time to sort through the emails, etc.
Err, which part of 'I was there' is giving you trouble? I saw the events as they happened, and I know what was done by the admins. This is not a matter of opinion, but a matter of
fact.
I haven't drawn any conclusions about Dawkins, other than that he read the message I sent to him, inless that, too, was censored.

I'm not an ex-RD.net mod and there's no need to be obnoxious.

I simply want to know what transgression I've made, resulting in the removal of my post.
Not giving a straight answer was pretty obnoxious in itself.
Care to explain properly this time round, without the impolite cryptics?

What post are you referring to Sean? I know of no post of yours that has been deleted, but I am willing to get an answer for you.
And it would be most appreciated if you could respond with a little more civility. Bella was just trying to help.

Indeed. I don't know why you think another member has some special knowledge of your posts, but I won't make that mistake again.

Reading between the lines, I think Bella was wondering if you'd gotten the myriad of Dawkins meltdown threads confused and thought a post had been deleted when it wasn't.
Regardless, it might be helpful if you provided more details on the post you say was deleted, so it would be easier for any mod or admin looking into it for you to track down what happened. And a bit of friendliness wouldn't hurt either, this is a laid back venue, and you're a guest here.

If not, I really shouldn't have had that last shandy.
