That has never been in question, nor have I ever talked about you. It wasn't a straw man at all. The guy pointed out that Watson seemed to think that she had put everyone a the conference on notice that she should not be asked up to a room for coffee. The point being made in that youtube video is that in the conference she was talking about rape, threats of rape and nasty emails.Gallstones wrote:Coito ergo sum wrote:
Strawman. "Feminists" don't do these things; it is some people who do these things and who also self identify as feminists. Even Watson was boring me.
15 minutes is a bit too long for me to maintain interest.
Sorry for the wall of text. However, you claimed that all Watson did was relate an anecdote and mention how she feels. The bulk of my wall of text was a demonstration of how much more than that she actually said and wrote.Gallstones wrote:colubridae wrote:

http://skepchick.org/2006/04/a-very-heretical-easter/ (she apparently wrote an apology on June 26, 2011).While others around the world were spending their weekend commemorating the miraculous resurrection of Jeeeezus by wearing big straw hats, painting chicken eggs, and eating the special pastel-colored M&Ms, I was drinking too much, dancing suggestively with strangers, and celebrating my lack of godliness at the American Atheists’ annual conference, held in San Antonio, Texas. All in all it was a good time. Though I disagreed with quite a bit of what was said by the presenters, the panel discussion, and the “Is There a God” debate, I think American Atheists is a very good organization and quite necessary in that it helps provide support and a voice to the nonreligious. Highlight of the weekend: watching two hot college girls on a panel fight over the use of humor and controversy to spread the atheistic word. I kept hoping the moderator would suggest we all head upstairs to a hotel room and settle this with a tickle fight.
Coitos suggestion? "A bit over five years ago she joked on her blog about how "hot" two girls were and about hotel rooms and group activities. Therefore it logically follows that she will be interested in coming up to my hotel room tonight, for coffee."Coito ergo sum wrote:Rebecca Watson wrote a while back: ... 2006 ...
