This is what happens when a scientist goes into business - clueless!!

A similar thing happened at a company I worked for. The company accountant embezzled $750,000 - yes read that again - she was sentenced to one day in prison, 3 months of house arrest and restitution of $250 per month.

She stole from the 401(k) of her friends, she put our jobs at risk, and she got 1 fucking day in prison - which she did not serve as the judge said there was no point! What the fuck.

So Josh might just get away with it, even if found guilty if his judge is of the same opinion.

The first opportunity I get to rip off a company for $750,000 I'm taking it.

I didn't attend the trial so I don't know. But the story is true, why would I lie about it?

I feel sad for Dawkins, who was betrayed big time by that little shit Josh. However, it is not unknown for aging professors to be quite out of touch with reality and lacking in some street smarts. Most ivy league professors are a bit elitist and snobby. It's a sort of club, and I was a bit surprised at PZ Myers comments when RDF forum closed down. It will be interesting if PZ has any comments on this. Posts by Hackenslash, Peter Harrison, Cali and many other respected RDF members counted for nothing in the eyes of some people.

Well, I think Josh is in line for a Templeton Prize, and free life membership of AiG and The Discovery Institute. Perhaps he and Ken Ham and Hovind can get together and form a prestigious think-tank or summat.

Let's sum it up:-
1. He is being taken to court for embezzling a charitable foundation.
2. He has embarrassed a major author and advocate of free thought
3. He has dismantled a forum that consisted of 85,000 skeptics and atheists.

Few soldiers for god have done better in terms of damaging the skeptics movement, and yet he is an atheist??

Jumping the gun there? Dawkins has accused Timonen of embezzlement, and is taking him to court. The first hearing on this case is scheduled for the fourth of January 2011. Where I live an accused is deemed innocent until found guilty by such a court. Your attitude seems somewhat medieval, or to say the least, resembling that of an enthusiastic member of a lynch mob. Please do us a favour and rejoin civilisation.
