British Law is Crazy

Post by rainbow » Thu Jun 22, 2017 9:00 am

Did you know that under their law a whale is a fish?

...but there is more.

If a whale beaches on the shores of Cornwal it belongs to Charles, Prince of Wales. If the whale decides to beach in Wales, then it is the property of the Queen.

What happens when a whale marries the Prince of Wales on the shore in Wales? Does it then belong to the Prince or to the Queen?

It is also illegal to order or permit any servant to stand on the sill of any window to clean or paint it!

Urinating in public is lawful if you alert passers by first. Raising one's hand and clearly proclaiming "Micturition!" is all that's required.

Nope. Another unrepealed statute concerning travelling by carriage makes it legal for a gentleman passenger or the driver to urinate on the back wheel of the stationary conveyance as long as they keep one hand on the bodywork. Similarly, train drivers are permitted to urinate from the footplate of the engine.
