Public executions used to be big events, with people attending it as if a picnic.
I think all executions (and we have far too few these days) should be public exhibitions. People need to know and realize that executions are a victory for a law-abiding society over the lawless. Opposition to the death penalty is just a remnant of anti-Darwinian religious beliefs of repentance. Destroy the criminal element, and over time through evolution society as a whole becomes less criminal.
Anti-abortionists are generally against abortion due to rape. But from an evolutionary perspective, abortion via rape should be required by law to prevent those genes and behavioral characteristics from spreading. Though I suppose in some cases sterilization of the rape baby may be acceptable, but I still feel that abortion would be the safest measure for society.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.
