Long term relationships are of course different. Can't be having an idiot then...

That is not me.

What can I say? I want it all.

Fortunately, my taste in looks is varied.
This is what I was trying to say somewhere in my rambling :hehe:

Well, yes, looks are an issue. But think of intelligence as a turn on and looks as a (potential) turn off.

Does that make it more appealing as a label?

Oh, and if there's any female sapiosexuals reading this (who are single), I'm smart as fuck. Brain the size of a planet, I tells ya...

OK, so I might have to modify my sales technique.

edit: I once had a brief online relationship with someone that came to an end as she had started dating someone who chatted her up talking about String Theory. I mean... the sly bastid... using the tried and tested String Theory line.

Probably i've got a streak of it. At least stupidity is the most certain turn off for me. Acted stupidity is even worse. :dunno:

It is amazing how the most fabulous arse can be rendered powerless by a single cretinous sentence.

I agree. I've never been able to have a relationship with an untintelligent woman. (One night stands are another matter).

No way was I going to end up spending my life with someone considerably less intelligent than me. I married a Vassar girl. :awesome:

It depends what is meant by stupid. Someone who knows that they don't know it all is more attractive (in my opinion) than someone who thinks they do, irrespective of who actually knows what.

I hope that makes sense.

What if they think they do... and they're right? :) (I jest). I don't know anyone who thinks that they know everything. If they do (think that), then they're not intelligent and would be suitably rebuffed by a sapiosexual.

Also, remember, intelligence is a relative thing, not a binary thing.

Ladyboner
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

I should go make a post in the Atheism+ forum.

As a sapiosexual, I find myself uninterested in every "educated" poster in this forum
As a sapiosexual, I find myself uninterested in rape (sexual pleasure of an intelligent mind turns me on and rape isn't pleasurable)
As a sapiosexual, I find it difficult to find a partner in the town where I live
As a sapiosexual, I find it difficult to find a partner in the country where I live
As a sapiosexual, I find it difficult to find a partner on the planet where I live
As a sapiosexual, stupid people are annoyed that I'm not receptive to their advances
As a humanist, every last one of you gender fascists depresses me

Would I get moderated for that? :)
