I was at the doscent class today and the instructor cautioned us against anthropomorphizing. I suggested that as we were just another mammal (albeit one with a hyperinflated sense of our own self-worth) that this was not a problem unless taken to far. (Those boundaries are fuzzy at best.)

It's a fucking pain in the arse. We used to get a steady supply of fucked up equines from those folk who'd actually craved friendship, kids etc rather than a horse! I think dogs get fucked over by it too, from the derranged way we've bred them to dumb ass beliefs about them (my dog would NEVER bite etc).
It's fine for a dog to be a dog, a cow to be a cow, it's ok that a dog and a cow are different, it's even good. I think let them be what they are, act respectfully, take time to learn them. I dislike what i honestly think are self panderiing beliefs.
