Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
if mantis is innocent, she's dying for a good cause anyway. either she or sifaka or normal is the Harkkonen. Between this lynching and tonight's assassination, it might be smooth sailing from here on out.

by the way, I'm wondering if there's a point in hiding our roles anymore. Maybe revealing them can provide us with some good information.

Er... revealing all roles gives scum a nice order of priority for assassinations. I don't see the point in doing that.heyzeus wrote:by the way, I'm wondering if there's a point in hiding our roles anymore. Maybe revealing them can provide us with some good information.
Gah.. I'm over this voting today. Mantis voting for herself makes me feel bad. Could be ploy, but dunno.

Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
Okay just thinking, maybe both non & MAT are legit, so maybe there really is only one scum left? Leaving Normal? But the thing is that post of his pointing out his suspicions towards DP & MAT. DP was guilty. Maybe MAT wasn't/isn't. But I got myself in trouble for pointing out that DP questioned Ghat. So I don't necessarily want to say that Norm suspecting DP makes him innocent.
Either way, you can vote me tonight if you want. I think there are not that many scum left anyway, so there is still a chance.

I think that is a good idea. I am curious to see what no & MAT both have to say about their *specific* roles.heyzeus wrote:by the way, I'm wondering if there's a point in hiding our roles anymore. Maybe revealing them can provide us with some good information.

I'm not so sure about you either, Mantis. I'm not sure about anyone. It's just you're a good choice for now. I'm considering sifaka though. There's something funny about the way she reacts whenever she's accused.

Dah! Okay maybe don't post the roles then!? But what if there IS only one scum left. It wouldn't really matter, would it?irreligionist wrote:Er... revealing all roles gives scum a nice order of priority for assassinations. Here,
vote noncredo
That's what I think.
EDIT: unvote Mantisdreamz

Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
They've already revealed those. oblivion is Paul and can doublevote. MAT is Chani and a seer.Mantisdreamz wrote:I think that is a good idea. Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
Well in my defense, I'ver never played a game where PM's were forbidden except with one other player, so that was something I had to get used to. Also, my voting power was no real help until the numbers came down, so revealing who I was and what I could do too early would have been a bad move. Plus, this strategy of keeping quiet has worked so well in the past, I figured me and MAT lay low until there were few enough left for my 2 votes to make a difference. After that, MAT investigates we vote together with three votes and only have to convince one or two others to vote with us, or at least not against us and the town wins...delusions of granduer maybe, but there it is. I didn't think we would become the most suspicious out of the remaining players until tomorrow. By then we would have another person cleared or confirmed guilty.heyzeus wrote:Yes, they have certainly been bumbling. But their roles fit. One even meshes with my own role. And Paul Atreides is most certainly in this game. It would be a big risk for them to lie about such a major character/

Alright. Well then he's either telling the truth, or then Normal is Paul. Because if one of you (irre, zeus, ksen) was Paul you'd obviously be voting for non right away.
Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
Um no. oblivion is Shai Hulud and is dedicating hours to making your lives miserable this week.

We're back to noncredo again?!
See, if mantis turns out to be innocent, we still don't know about noncredo/MAT... but taking out noncredo either clears or condemns MAT.
I'm not sure why people think only one scum is left?

Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
It could be a ploy. I'm not putting much stock in it. After all, we're block voting so even if she's Harkkonen, her one vote isn't going to do much to counter my vote, your vote, ksen's vote and the masons' votes. They're never going to get all of us before we get the rest of them. There's no way there are that many of them left. One, two at the most. The only bad part would be revealing the swordsman. If we all reveal our roles, we might be able to deduce which role doesn't fit. I'm not voting for noncredo for now. If Normal comes back and says he's Paul, maybe we'll have something.irreligionist wrote:Er... revealing all roles gives scum a nice order of priority for assassinations. Re: Dune 2.0 Game Thread
irre's right. Killing me would help clear MAT. If MAT then survives the night there wouold be another person cleared by the investigation. It could be better to go for me and let the vig take out one of the others tonight. I'm not sure how many scum are left, but it can't be too many, so this plan may help us win quicker.irreligionist wrote:We're back to noncredo again?!![]()
