England, Britain, same thing. I regard Scotland as being a county, like a giant, more miserable version of Yorkshire.

England grinding towards avoiding the follow-on. We're in full war-of-attrition mode. Remember, lads, just a draw for the ashes. And there's weather due tomorrow...

Follow-on duly avoided, England mooching around with their last wicket to use up some time, and hoping for the expected rain ...

Now, if the Downunderlanders set Englandshire a makeable target, are they going to go for the runs? Or grind it out for a draw? And how many do they pile on before declaring? Let's face it, a draw is useless for the Aussis and plenty for England. They need to leave enough overs to bowl England out but will they risk losing a match they deserve to win? Decisions decisions!

Looks like tomorrow is going to be a washout weather-wise. A shame. It would have been good to see whether England could bat it out for a draw and what tactics the captains would adopt as regards setting targets and whether or not to chase them.
Fucking silly idea inventing a game that needs 5 fine days in England!!1!

The games were initially played out. The 5 day thing was a modification to the invention.

There will be an inspection at 10.4 5am - about 10 minutes from now.

Cook gone for a duck, and used up a precious review in the process. Tut, tut.

ANd gone. No hotspot. No clear deflection. But there was a noise and the umpire's decision stands.
