Cricket Thread

Post by Xamonas Chegwé » Thu May 07, 2009 3:23 pm

If the Downundrians can have an Aussie Rules Thread, I reckon we can have a Cricket Thread too!

Besides, I needed somewhere to post...
117/7!! - in reply to 377 all out.

Though it saddens my heart to see a once great cricketing nation like the Windies brought to their knees, the pill is easier to swallow when it's Hingerlaaaand that are doing the bringing! (OK, I know the Windies are not technically a nation, but...)

Graeme Swann is a fucking Cricket God!!! (...and he plays for Notts.)

PS. 123/8 now - They are falling faster than I can post! Bring on the Aussies!

I don't mind cricket i support Australia obviously and South Australia at state level up the redbacks!. I'm loving how Callum Ferguson is doing so well at one-day and 20/20 level only a matter of time if their is no average NSW/victorian batsman that can take his place before he cements a test spot tbh. Of course there is also Shaun Tait lord of speed bowlers that make the Victorian bastards shit themselves and any other state for that matter with his bowling.

Windies all out for 152. A good day's work and still an hour before close!

England have enforced the follow-on. No surprises there given that they only had to bowl for 32 overs, and with probably another 25 overs to be bowled before stumps.

Graham Onions takes 5/38 on his test debut. Onions? :what:

Yep. Onions. He plays for Durham, along with Phil Mustard. Honest!

Now 22/2 - Sarwan, bowled Anderson.

Don't think there's going to be any weekend play at this rate. :levi:

At last, a sensible thread on the forum! :hum:

I hope the international cricket community appreciates the effort Australia has gone to in losing a few games, so the other teams don't get too depressed...

You can always rely on an Aussie to boast. I don't even mind losing to you lot. Because it only takes one victory against you lot in a decade, to see the whole country crying in the streets.

When we lose we just shrug and say "meh".

If we win the toss just once this ashes series, your government will probably fall! :hilarious:
