Golf shot of the year ...

Post by klr » Mon Apr 12, 2010 4:02 pm

I uttered a few expletives as I realised he was actually going to attempt this shot - 200-plus yards to carry the creek in front of the green (with the flag just beyond), between two trees, off pine needles where anything could happen ...

I uttered a few more expletives at seeing the result ...

It was totally fucking brilliant. That shot alone deserved victory.

Plus he's a massive supporter of science in schools and heads a charity supporting science education, so he gets my support just for that.
It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.

Yet one more reason to like Lefty then . And with all the commotion about Tiger and his troubles, people sometimes lost sight of the fact that Mickelson is trying to manage with both his wife and mother being diagnosed with breast cancer. Tiger has it easy if you ask me ...

:what: Are you Scottish? Don't you at least live in Scotland? And you don't know the basic rudiments of golf? :nono:

But since you require holing an approach shot (some people are hard to please :?), he did do just that the previous day - see about 30 seconds in:
