I'm not sure what you mean by 'free'. They aren't possessions or colonies. It is the United Kingdom. It odd and unique and a bit special in my view and worth keeping together. We will all be worse off if Scotland goes it alone. Wales has no credible desire to.

The population of the USA? 230 million? The UK? 56 million. Given we currently have half the medals the USA does by that measure we are beating them!

I'm stopping this however. It was a response to Red's silly OP and I am not remotely nationalist or patriotic.

..It is kind of involving even if one doesn't actually want it to be though!
