You ought to listen to some baseball commentary. I understand the game and enjoy watching it but when those guys start on the stats, I am :dono: :dono: :dono:

Ani,

I was watching the cricket match in the pub yesterday and couldn't resist putting in my own commentary.

And Robertson prances after the ball. Oh. He missed. And now Roberts minces back.

Herbert smooches up to the line and tosses a dainty ball to the guy with the half a flower basket over his face.

Coswell invites one of his rivals back for tea and crumpets. How gentlemanly.

290/7 at tea. A lead of 462 - surely an insurmountable obstacle for the downundrians? England might need to declare at this rate, just to leave a session or two to bowl the opposition out!! :hehe:

The highest ever successful 4th innings run chase at the Oval is just 269. England are now 475 477 ahead and counting.

A 505 lead now! Who said this wicket was falling apart? Trott and Swanny are scoring for fun!!

The Triple Nelson strikes: Swann is out for 63 off just 54 balls, with England now at 333/8. There were 30 runs scored since I made my last post.

England are scoring at a rate more appropriate to a 20/20 match, just as they did on the last day of the 4th test. The match situation is a bit different this time though.

England have been scoring at over 8 an over for the last 10 overs - that's 20/20 pace! This is supposed to be a treacherous, difficult pitch! It kind of puts the Aussie's first innings in perspective.
