All over, 2-1 to Reading at Anfield. Who'd have thought it? The first time since 1959 that both Man U. and Liverpool have been knocked out in the 3rd round.

Reading made Liverpool look terrible in midweek. Well Forest just ran rings around them in the first half and hung on in the second after losing a man to win 2-1 and take our unbeaten run to 18 games.

I think it was as much as case of Liverpool making Liverpool look terrible.

7-2 for Chelsea against Sunderland. 7-2? :what:

Just now: Aston Villa 6, Blackburn 4 in the second leg of the League cup semi-final, 7-4 on aggregate. Mad game. Both this match and last night's first leg of the other semi-final (the Manchester derby) were live on BBC. Sky must be very pleased.

Game of the season so far in the African Cup of Nations, quarter final stage: Algeria 3, Ivory Coast 2. Also goal of the season so far by Keita to put the Ivory Coast 2-1 up in the 89th minute. But Algeria went straight down the field and equalised, and scored again at the start of extra time. The defending for both those goals was abysmal, and Algeria could have scored a few more in extra time. Yet the Ivory Coast should have equalised in the dying minutes, but Kolo Toure had a goal ruled out for offside ... incorrectly.

Nottingham Forest are 5-0 up against QPR - one more goal puts them top of the Championship, at least until Newcastle play tomorrow. :woot: :woot: :woot: :toot: :toot: :toot:

We play the Derby Sheepshaggers on Saturday - I almost pity them!!
