Well, I'm hardly an ice hockey fan, but knowing a few I'd hazard to say it might be considered good at least partly 'cause that little black thingy ended up in the net  .

Yer welcome... And I await correction from a real fan.

Hmmm ... Ice Hockey is a 2-D game. Show them something in 3-D and they go wild. Go watch some hurling ... :coffee:

... and where was the rest of the opposing team?

It can hardly stand as 'the best goal evah!' if it was scored against one, stationary player!

I wouldn't say its the best however the stick work from the kid is freaking awesome. :-) Its a 1-on-1 contest which is equivalent to a penalty in football/soccer.

It's good because it is damn hard to pick a puck up like that while in motion and throw it without having it fall off/go somewhere unintended XD

Something like thought wouldn't ever work in a game, but it does take skill. I think all the "BEST GOAL EVER!!1!" is a bit overdone though.

I played roller hockey on a team for about 13 years. Based off of my experience, that stick handling is pretty insane, especially for a 9-year-old. :o Best goal ever? Not so sure about that. Never the less, pretty damn impressive.
