Death Bananas

Post by Sean Hayden » Fri Jul 22, 2022 2:34 pm

This thread has nothing to do with bananas. Not yet anyway.

Lately I've approached my own death like this: as long as I'm doing what I want. Or some version of that. It's not all selfish either. I want to help my community for example. As long as I'm doing something to make that happen it fits, and is as good as riding a motorcycle in terms of doing what I want. It helps me feel better.

What about you guys? Does this sound familiar?

I'm not sure which of the comestibles is at issue. When it comes to death, I just don't care if I live or die.

It's better to burn out than to fade away...

Not sure how the motorcycle fits in with community service but it keeps me looking forward to the next ride.
If I make 80 still riding ( I have an eBike for transition ) I'll keep going on two wheels.

I hate the idea of being a dependent vegetable but then my mum was a happy vegetable and made 95 while dad also made 95, still driving legally and sharp as a tack ...walked to the ambulance, gone in 2 days. Now that's a life well lived ....cept he never took a drink in his life. hmmmmmm :read:
He lived in the same house he built in the 30s and took care of vegetable in waiting wife.
