Other than the money for professors and schools, I honestly don't see the value generated by grievance studies 'academic' programs.

Is that it? is that all you're up to today?
With this 'problematic stuff', did you read the published papers? The award for excellence? The academic credentials of the writer, and of the reviewing bodies?

Or was I more important to you than all that?
No, I mean is that all you're up to with regards to answering a straightforward question, telling me what you think the role of academic publication actually is? As I said, this is pretty fundamental to whatever it is you see as important or significant about the matter.
Well, I've answered that I thought it was to earn money from students, but I guess my answer wasn't 'buzzfeed' enough for you or something...

Do you want me to bow and scrape now or something?
 No, I'm trying to have a conversation with you - don't be so defensive. You conflated the publishing of textbooks (irrelevant to the matter you quoted) with academic publishing in the round, and basically said that money was the be-all-and-end-all of all academic publishing - no mention of sharing information and ideas, just fleecing students. The British Journal of Psychology for example, only exits to make its publishers rich I guess? I invite you to reconsider the question, because I'm basically trying to understand why you think the fake feminist farce is significant or important.

I was talking specifically about 'greivance studies' programs, but it's possible I mis-spoke.

Did you want to comment on the article itself, or continue to focus on me and my contempt of these expensive, meaningless academic departments?

I think the mathematician they interviewed was right - these programs should be treated like academic exercises, but as he pointed out, the needed pieces are missing.

Grievance studies produces nothing but degrees, and dollars for their departments. If all of them were cancelled tomorrow, I can't think of a single thing we would be losing that has value outside of the bubble they created.

You don't think that it provides a valuable platform for people to share their ideas then?

You keep asking more and more about me, while ignoring the subject I raised.

If it starts sounding like you know something about this bit of news, I'll consider your questions again.

If you just want to know what I think, start making this a 2-way conversation.

The subject you raised was about the apparent intellectual paucity of academic scholarship. My question addresses that directly.

The subject I raised was about academics passing nonsense papers through idiot academic publishers, showing what they valued.

You don't want to go anywhere near those guys (maybe because they ARE academics) but instead want to harp on me about my lack of spelling.

I get it. I'm a MUCH easier target than those academic hoaxsters.

Still not as easy as those who published the dog-park paper though lol

Attempting to get back on topic, is this 'more problematic stuff'?

The Magateen and the Indiginous Vet were only two of the three groups present. None of them matter, I think. (third group was some Isrealite shouters)

The fourth group is the interesting one. I blamed the media (and FUCK them, post and run bullshit is for assholes like ME, not professional work) but it probably wasn't 'them'. Which media...hmmm...
